A one not to be missed
Another great book from Shaun. Once you start it is difficult to put down. More twists and turns than a roller coaster at Alton Towers! A must read. Looking forward with great interest to the next one!

Quirky and fun
The plot is a bit complicated, and I lost track of some of the ins and outs, but there were lots of amusing moments.

Compelling and enjoyable
Book three of the Holly Fleet Mysteries, and as enjoyable and compelling as the previous two.The Story is a fairly light telling of the traditions and ancient beliefs that are still entrenched in many of the isolated communities of this country, contrasted against the immediacy of modern media and city based society. The delight of Shaun Baines writing is his ability to use words to 'paint' the bleakness and social change of the environment, and lay his ever developing characters over the top, tied with an engaging plot. It is the descriptive abilities of Thomas Hardy and Walter Raymond paired with a pleasant story which moves at pace.If you are new to these books please start at book one. The characters will mean so much more.I look forward to the next Holly Fleet episode.

An entertaining, Cosy Mystery full of superstition and intrigue
This is the third book in Holly Fleet mystery series, an investigative journalist teams up again with estate hand Callum. This time they're on the case of a clairvoyant's death prediction that threatens not only a grieving widow, but the very fabric of Little Belton, Northumbria itself. Superstition and belief are thematically strong, while the mystery is kept light-hearted, amusing and still compelling with Holly's tightrope walk between haplessness and investigative heroism - no easy feat, but deftly handled by the author. For fans of the cosy mystery genre that enjoy quick, entertaining reads, this one won't disappoint.

Went beyond my expectations 😲
I was looking forward to this latest in the Holly Fleet Series, having read all of the previous books with glee, and this one did not disappoint. In my opinion this is by far the best of the series. Full of intriguing plot twists, exceptional descriptions and humour, Hadaway Farm is an unputdownable read.(I gladly received a free copy of this book in return for an unbiased review.)
