Love this swashbuckling series The Actors are charming

Ever since I was young, I have always liked the Musketeers, but this series was by far the best ever. The first time I watched it on Prime, it actually stressed me out worrying about the Musketeers getting hurt. LOL The casting was excellent! After watching the 30 episodes, it became quite addictive to watch again and again. When I get time I watch it on Prime, but I just had to buy all three seasons so I am never without it. I highly recommend it. Bravo to the cast and crew.

Great action and twists. Note this is ‘based on’ not actually Dumas’ work, which, in my opinion, makes it better.

I knew that this series was about musketeers during the reign of King Louis XIII of France. Louis's mother was Marie de' Medici, a member of the famous, or notorious, Medici family that was involved in political intrigues in Italy and Europe for several centuries. Marie tried to take over Louis's court until he had her exiled. Even so, as I watched this series I grew disgusted with the constant malice and backstabbing in Louis's court. It seemed as if there was always one nasty and untrustworthy person in a position of power, often as an advisor to the king. Unfortunately, Louis seemed gullible enough to trust the most corrupt advisor. Also, there were times when the sword fighting went on and on. Okay, so musketeers did use swords, but I did not watch this to see several minutes of swords clashing. The scenery is beautiful and the sets are interesting, but I have given up watching the rest of this series because the meanness became tiresome and the long sword fights became boring. I was watching Musketeers for entertainment, not just a history lesson.

A delightful mix of the original, mild historical fantasy, and excellent acting, writing, and directing. At least as good as the Richard Chamberlain, Oliver Reed, Michael York, Frank Finlay, Raquel Welch, Charlton Heston, and Faye Dunaway production of the 1970s—but very different.

"The Musketeers" is one my favorite series. The story lines are well written and well acted. The action is rocking awesome! And the characters are all well developed. The bad guy in this series are well done. You won't be disappointed! All 3 seasons are fantastic and well worth watching. My only advice is to watch them in order because what happens in one show is carried over into the next. The entire series has well developed story threads that leave you wanting more and more. In my opinion, this is on the THE best series out there.

Season 3 continues where season 1 and season 2 left off. Great swashbuckling adventure.

マスケティアーズ、すごくハマってしまいました。１と２は日本版あるのですが、３だけないので、インポート版買いました。 相変わらず、銃士たちのイケメンぶりに目が離せなかったです。前作より暗い感じは否めなかったですが、途中途中にいいエピソードがあって最後は盛り返したかなと思います。ただダルタニアンとコンスタンスの大ファンとしては、２人のエピソードが少なくてかなり物足りなかったです。もうこれで完結してしまうのが残念です。

Nous voulions voir la dernière saison et malgré la version anglaise nous avons pris plaisir à suivre les personnages en lisant les sous-titres en plus des voix !
