No more tripping on tent pegs
Tent pegs that glow in the dark. Wish I had these sooner. They glow faintly but enough. They are durable but I have managed to break a couple

good stakes
used several times and they are much better than the stakes that come with tents

Sturdy
These are better than the stakes I get at the store. Way more sturdy. My only complaint is they did not glow in the dark as stated.

Robust stakes for tough ground. Caps aren't up to hammering, though.
I got these stakes after destroying too many ultralight, overpriced stakes from the “backpacking gear” section of camping stores. Unlike aluminum stakes, these are affordable and tough. They are basically giant steel nails. I pounded them into hard desert ground with a rock, and they held great, no bending or deformation. That’s what i wanted. The plastic caps that come on the stake heads aren’t quite up to the job, though. It’s cute that they glow in the dark, making it easier to avoid them at night, but the plastic takes a lot of abuse if you use a hammer with the stakes. Some of mine broke after 3 uses. I wish that either the head of the stake were broader, or that the plastic caps were metal. I replaced mine with thick fender washers. For the money, i don’t mind having to do that. I’m just happy i can stake out my tarp on tough ground now.

Good, Strong, Versatile Nail Tent Stake? Yes! Glow-In-the-Dark? Maybe.
Sometimes those ultralight Aluminum (or expensive Titanium) stakes just don't stand up to hard packed gravel sites requiring pounding in the stake with a sledgehammer rather than pushing in to nice soft soil with the heel of your hand. In those hard times, one of these steel nails come in handy - one, because you can hammer that in and make a hole for the others to tightly fill. I take two, plus a few of those smaller, lighter steel hooks and Aluminum tri-blade pegs with my light weight tarp in case I wind up tarp-tenting.Glow In the Dark? Meh. Not for long. Why not if the price is the same as red plastic? Good news is that the plastic part can be pushed down a bit so when you wack on the nail you might not break the plastic... not that that would be the end of the nail's usefulness. One or two of these is a must have for a camper, backpacker, or hiker in my mind... too many possible uses to leave behind.

Glow-riffic
I bought these for a tee-pee tent I was given, to use on the outlaying guy ropes. I figured that anything I could do to make them more visible would be worth the cost so no one would trip over the 18 lines that it take to setup the tent. I bought 2 pack and used the 2 unused stakes to mark out the doorway. They worked great! After a 6 hour charge after I set the tent up they glowed for about 4 hours after dark. The next day they got a full helping of sunlight and glowed most of the night, well past when people were walking around, or stumbling drunk from the bonfire. I was amazed at how easy they were to see both in cloud cover and the brightness of a nearly full moon. I would definitely by more of these should the need arise!

Won't Camp Without These!!
I am a Girl Scout leader, and we just used these excellent Tent Stakes for our latest camping trip. What makes these good is NOT the glow in the dark. Honestly, the glow was very negligible, and didn't make much of a difference. What makes these great is the basic design of the stake peg (very smooth and easy to pound into hard group) and the great design of the tent stake head. It has a good "hook" to catch the tab of the tent, and a hole at the end of the stake. This allowed us to put guide lines and other ropes places without worrying about it coming unsecured. Also, my girls scouts did the tent set up, and the 11 year olds were able to easily use the hammer to pound these stakes into the hard Arizona desert ground. If they can do it, you can too.Throw away those thick plastic, bendable tent stakes that come with your tent-- get these!

Glow stakes!
Awesome item but not entirely necessary. They don't stay too lit without a light source and if hammered too close to the ground you don't really notice the glow.I used them in an extreme desert situation with hard compact dirt and many of the tops could not withstand heavy hammering or removal from the hard dirt.I recently used them in a standard woodsy camping trip and them worked fine in softer earth.I love this item! the only reason its gets low stars is due to the fact that I broke half of them simply trying to use them and I am far from inept when it comes to camping.Ultimately for a pack of cheap stakes that don't glow extremely well, they're still much better than basic tent stakes that dont glow and cost about the same price.

Strong and sturdy for sure
They were very sturdy and strong. Even pounded one into a stump to hold a rope and it only bent a little trying to take it out. They didn’t really glow in the dark much, but they were definitely more visible than regular pegs.

These pegs are great for tarps or tents. We use them to replace the garbage pegs you get with some tents. They hold in high winds, heavy rain and snow.Easy to pull from the ground too.
