You may want to try plumber's tape (white thin tape) around the current plug. It may work without this oversize plug.

No, this is the oversize version of M14x1.5. It has a slightly larger thread diameter. It is used when the threads on the engine oil pan are worn out.

Q: Can i use this for a stripped 2010 Kia rio aluminum oil pan?

You would have the repair the pan first and then try a thicker plug

If the original oil plug was M14x1.5 this plug will work. This plug is made to thread into an oil pan with damaged threads, and seal against the face of the pan. So if the thread size is correct and the oil pan has a smooth surface this plug will work.
