Killer Collections: Dark Artifacts from True Crime

Breadth of collections is amazing
Excellent book for what it is revealing - the deepest look into private collections of an unspeakable hobby. The coloring is magnificent, the cover is sturdy and spine well glued/stitched. The sturdy effigy of the book is worth the price alone. My only comment is that there was slightly too much coverage on 2-3 serial personalities. In one case, the same female serial killer was collected by two people yet placed in the book next to one another. Those chapters should have had some separation. In other cases, an infamous 1960’s mastermind was collected by almost each of the 13 collectors in the book. This is not to say it is not interesting but there are far more people that could have been showcased as to their crafts, items, letters or artwork that were not showcased in my opinion. As others have commented, and I agree, this new release sets the bar for showcasing what has been largely kept in the closet for many decades. This is not a celebration but rather the memorialization of a dark past. We should never forget that these people have destroyed many lives. However we should also never forget the lives that were destroyed. The hands that created things profiled in this book were the last to see people alive. Remember that as you read, be mindful this is not glorifying crime but keeping memories alive in cases long since passed. When you are done reading the book, don’t forget to look up all of the victims of each case and try to remember one or two names. Just by doing that you have done your part to bring the victims back to life.

Fascinating book, nice collection of true crime collections
I’m very intrigued by true crime, especially serial killers. From time to time, I see items owned by these killers, on Facebook, YouTube, television. But it always leaves me wanting more! Paul Gambino has done a great job of collecting images of the items collected over the years. He included artwork by the killers, some of their possessions, and letters they wrote to true crime devotees. In my experience of learning about serial killers, I find these items give me insight into their reasons for their crimes. Killer Collections is jam packed with photos of these items. If you’re a true crime junkie like me, this book is a must-buy!

Nice book
I love owning physical media from records to books. It keeps thing real, going to my own personal library and holding something in hand. Like the items of the collection it keeps the history of the item living, the stories, the victims to not be forgotten. This is a well made book, hardcover, tons of pictures and stories. Some seem to be a little repetitive and a few items facts are a little incorrect, one off the top of my head is on Sam Little. But to give to so many people and the "stories" that they have of the items handed down it is what they were told. Solid 4 star on this one from me

Killer book!!
Killer Collections is an excellent compendium of murderbelia collections. The pictures are well done, each item in the various collections are well documented and explained. The presentation of the material is carefully constructed and aesthetically appealing. I’m only sorry that I finished it so quickly. Hopefully there will be more Killer Collections from Mr. Gambino in the future.

Great book!
The book is very well put together, if you enjoy true crime and are interested in crime piece collections. There are over 200 pages of various photos and info. Don’t let any negative Nancy’s stop you from buying the book. It’s an interesting read.

A Completion of Legendary collections
Open the book and dive into a ton of incredible collectables that has taken many years and a ton of money to compile. This is your chance to take a museum equivalent tour from the comfort of where ever you choose to read it. Most of the book is full of Private collections in which majority of the items have never seen the light of day or been shared publicly. Take advantage of this look into the macabre Hobby that is True & Historical crime collecting.
