Whether you are a beginner or an experienced flyer, you just can't go wrong with this drone. In the below £250.00 class it's the best money can buy. Firstly, this is not a toy (14+) but a serious flying machine. If you are a beginner, with its novice mode, it will make sure you can't either fly too high or too far away, it has all the confidence boosting elements, auto take off and land, and if you find yourself in difficulty all you have to do is press the "come home" button and it will land at your feet. If you start getting low on battery power or it senses a signal drop, it will tell you it's "coming home". The drone is extremely stable in flight but has a really quick response to user inputs not jerky, just precise. For the more experienced flyer there is a GPS, there are modes for follow me, waypoint, circle, and headless mode. It has a trim feature in which you can make settings if you find the drone drifting slightly whilst hovering. The camera is also very good giving clear pictures both in still and video mode, the drone also excepts a micro card up to 64GB. The perfect all-round drone.

I wanted a starter drone to see if I like this new hobby before I plunge and invest into a more pricey drone. Having done some research I settled for the HolyStone HS175D. It has great functionality including a return to home button which higher spec drones has. The video clip shows how easy it was to use the 'return home' function and I was able to land it on my hand. Due to a busy life style and hectic year, I've finally took it out on it maiden flight. Reading up the air space rules and regulations first and downloaded the HS app, and once calibrated, the operation of the drone was quite straightforward. The controls was easy to use and the camera is decent for this mid-range drone. The camera can be adjusted and not fixed as with other drones. The one button take-off and landing made it very easy to get started. The drone did drift slightly and hopefully I can do a bit of 'trimming' to correct it. I haven't fully tested the battery life yet so maybe I'll do another update later! All in all, a great first drone to start off my hobby! Highly recommend.

I got this drone as I wanted to learn a bit about proper drone usage without committing to dropping a large sum of money into a hobby that I would only use once or twice. This drone is ideal and very easy to fly with both its auto take off and return to home auto land. The procedure to connecting to it is first turn on the drone and place it flat on the ground (after charging the batteries), open wifi on your phone and connect to it. Go into the HS GPS app and click preparations. The app will calibrate the drone first and then you have to do a compass calibration which involves rotating the drone a few times. After that youll be able to see the drone camera screen on your phone however you still have to "unlock the drone" by turning on the remote pressing forward and back on the left stick to connect it to the drone and then pushing forward to turn on the motors. Overall id recommend watching a quick youtube video to get your bearings if you get confused as there is a couple of steps. The drone itself is quite well built, folds up nice and compactly, has a good camera overall (does not have gimbal stabilization but youre gonna have to pay double for that and makes it more fragile which is not ideal when starting out) and is sturdy enough to manage a couple of bumps into a tree and survive. Would recommend for anyone of all ages who want a good decent drone to work with until you feel confident to step up to the more serious premium ones

I didn't want to spend a fortune for a first drone as with no previous experience I didn't want to lose a fortune whilst getting used to using it, also wasn't sure i'd use ot it. When I purchased it it was also on offer so it was a steal at the price compared to other brands. I read a lot of reviews and watched seversl YouTube videos before purchase and this drone came up very favourable, for models in this price bracket, it fitted the bill exactly. The first one I had delivered, unfortunately had a fault with the camera but I got in touch with Holystone direct and after a bit of advice, which failed to resolve the issue they sent me another one out within two days.... if only all companies customer service was as good as theirs! It's a great little starter drone, easy to setup as long as you take the time to read the instructions! It flies well with a great range, started with it in beginner mode at 30mtrs but as I got used to it, have advanced to full mode and still.think it's awesome for the price. The compass on the bottom is great if you lose sight of it as it helps to get the direction right to bring it back home but the auto-return function is also great if you want to not fly it back yourself, I took it to the maximum range in advanced mode and it still came back to within a few feet of where I took off from, it's also great when the battery runs low. Yes, it's susceptible to wind but that was expected, no difference to any other drone aircraft. I've found it stable, take off and landings are very easy, calibration is also simple once done a few times. The camera is clear and feedback to my mobile from the camera both stills and video has been good even at long distance. The ability to angle it on the fly is brilliant. Video is a but shaky in flight but again it's an inexpensive drone without a floating gimble..... it's good enough for me. I did read people have had issues with GPS but i've never encountered an issue even in the middle of Snowdonia! Battery life has been around 23mins per battery which I think is pretty good. If I choose to upgrade in the future I would definately consider a more advanced and expensive Holystone version. If you want a relatively inexpensive starter drone, with good range, decent battery life, easy to handle with a decent camera I would recommend! To top it all Holystone's customer service is first class.

The drone does what they say it can do once you follow the instructions and look at the instruction video carefully. The only issue I had was turning the drone the right way to pick up Gps and it was entirely my fault as I did not turn the way as directed. I contacted support about a small issue they responded with a day and dealt with it quickly and nicely. I rate it excellent and I would not say that easily. Will recommend

This Drone is not very good , personally if you just want to fly a Drone , purchase one without a camera , because the camera on this is poor to say the least , the drone doesn't really fly that well and is limited on distance. Honestly save your money and spend a bit more on a decent drone . Nothing is good about this drone if I'm honest . GPS is poor . Camera is rubbish , no stabilizer, but Holystone must be the nicest company I have ever come across. They went out of there way to make sure I was happy with the out come of our dealings together . Holystone the best customer service ever . If you have a problem they will be more then happy to help . They contacted me , after sending Drone back to ask if they could make things better , and they did . Thanks alot 👍🏻. Following on from having the HS720G It's not really that good . Had problems with flying this drone one minute it's fine the net it's playing up . Good job I didn't pay for it , because it would of been sent straight back . Personally I wouldn't play £300 for this drone . Save your money and get aDJI . Believe me you will thank me . Holystone drones do not even come close to DJI . DJI flys way better and the Camera is nowhere near as good against the DJI mini 2 SE .

It's fun, good build quality and easy to use, good range, small in size and easy to connect, however takes alot of getting used to which I finally thought I'd managed! Until all of a sudden it flew up in the air and to other side of the village and refused to come back, isn't for me I don't have enough space for flying it and after that I dernt try again so have sent it back, could be user error could be drone error I don't know never used or owned a drone prior

I was very excited to receive my HS175D today. I'm a huge fan of Holy Stone drones and am always eager to try out their latest and greatest releases. What struck me about this drone was how compact and light it was. I have to say I was a little how unsure how it would handle windy conditions considering how light it was, but was pleasantly surprised with how much power it has. It ascends and moves around very fast and is agile in the air. It doesn't use the Ophelia GO app like many other Holy Stone drones, instead opting for its own HS GPS V5 app, which works in a very similar way. I found the app easy to use and intuitive. If you've used the Ophelia app before, you'll know you're way around it for sure. The camera is 4k, but doesn't have any sort of gimbal or EIS, so certainly not the best choice for any serious drone videographer, but good enough for stills and for the FPV element which works well. Overall, I was very impressed with the drone. It's a lot of fun to fly, and 2.5 hours to charge the batteries for around 45 mins of flying isn't bad at all. Another excellent product from Holy Stone!

Drone acheté fin 2023. Début Mai 2024 un message d’erreur est apparu « programme anormal » et impossibilité d’utiliser le smart phone et de faire des photos / vidéos. D’autres commentaires font état d’un tel problème. J’ai contacté par mail le SAV qui m’a assuré que les techniciens allaient corriger le bug, et 2 jours plus tard après réinstallation de l’appli HS GPS V5 tout fonctionne. Je suis très satisfait de la qualité générale du drone et de ses performances en regard de son coût, de l’amabilité de Valentina et de la réactivité du SAV. Drone purchased at the end of 2023. At the beginning of May 2024 an error message appeared “abnormal program” and it was impossible to use the smart phone and take photos/videos. Other comments mention such a problem. I contacted after-sales service by email who assured me that the technicians would correct the bug, and 2 days later after reinstalling the HS GPS V5 app everything works. I am very satisfied with the general quality of the drone and its performance in relation to its cost, the friendliness of Valentina and the responsiveness of the after-sales service.

Es un buen dron de iniciación o para matar el gusanillo si ya volabas con los antiguos drones sin Gps, como es mi caso y a un precio muy razonable. La presentación es impecables y un estuche con batería de repuesto y dos cargadores, mas algunas hélices. El dron viene configurado por defecto para volar en exteriores con función GPS, si lo utilizas en interior tuve algunos problemas para cambiar a flujo óptico (sin GPS). Me puse en contacto con el soporte técnico en cuestión de horas me respondieron y dieron la solución, hay que pulsar la tecla "retorno a casa", del mando, de forma automática el dron cambia a flujo óptico y lo puedes volar. Quiero destacar la rapidez , eficacia, amabilidad y excelente disponibilidad del soporte técnico de Holy Stone

Questo drone è pensato principalmente per i principianti, grazie ai comandi semplici e intuitivi che permettono di imparare rapidamente a pilotarlo. Nonostante ciò, la qualità generale è davvero buona e supera le aspettative per questa fascia di utilizzo. Il drone è stabile in volo e risponde bene ai comandi, rendendo l’esperienza piacevole e sicura. La qualità delle immagini e dei video è soddisfacente, ideale per chi vuole iniziare a fare riprese aeree. I materiali sono resistenti e ben assemblati. Nel complesso, è un ottimo prodotto per chi si avvicina per la prima volta al mondo dei droni.

Tenía poca estabilidad en la imagen, si había mucho viento se iba, perdía la conexión pero no se si tiene que ver con el WiFi o las interferencias, para un uso básico esta bien, si quieres algo profesional no.

Ottimo prodotto per principianti come me. Materiali ottimi, sembra essere estremamente robusto e ben fatto. Per chi vuole imparare, come me, è un buon compromesso qualità prezzo. Facile da pilotare e fa dei video molto belli. Foto ottime, la qualità delle immagini è nitida e dettagliata, con colori brillanti e vivaci. L'ho testato per un mese e mezzo e lo consiglio vivamente. Great product for beginners like me. Excellent materials, seems to be extremely robust and well made. For those who want to learn, like me, it is a good compromise between quality and price. Easy to fly and makes very nice videos. Excellent photos, the image quality is sharp and detailed, with bright and vibrant colors. I tested it for a month and a half and highly recommend it.
