The knob may appear to be polished aluminum but it is not. It is a natural, dull finish. The set screw on the knob makes it tilt slightly to one side. The wire connections on the back are very delicate. So, be careful not to brake them.The knob works as described but is not necessary as the dimming can be preset with the VHX main control module.

This is a must have if you own a Dakota Digatal instrument cluster. Easy install for my truck. I used an existing opening and it fit perfect.
