All the plates are etched perfectly and pick up pretty well on my stamper (I did not use the one it came with though). The only issue I have it that the 10th plate it comes with is shown in the photo to be a classic checker board pattern, which is one of the reasons I bought this set. But it is in fact a checkerboard pattern that is etched designs instead of just squares. Everything else is perfect!

I bought this as my first stamping kit and would recommend it for beginners. I find the images are easier to transfer than the gel/clear stampers. For newbies, the trick is make sure you're at a 45 degree angle when wiping excess polish off the plate and then take a look at the image on the stamp. I find if I look at the image on the stamp I have no problems lining it up where I want it to go on my nail. I use both gel and plain polish for stamping with no problems. Once you get the hang of it, it's surprisingly easy.

My first impression of this kit is that it is lacking in the effectiveness of the required tools. The stamper is too firm and due to the size, can only allows pickup of a small portion of the design. Additionally, it is solid so you can't see where you are placing the design on your nail. A clear jelly stamper would work better. The scraper is hard plastic and scrapes too much of the product from the plate. I improvised and used a credit card and silicone type make up application sponge for my stamper. The credit card worked, but the silicone sponge didn't pick up enough of the product. Luckily I have another kit on order which provides better tools.

The prints are very big so it doesn’t look as nice because it only shows a small portion of the design it is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it other than that it’s great!

Haven't used it doesn't work well with regular gel polish, regular fingernail polish or acrylic paint. Guess I have to order some gel stamping polish because the other ones don't work. Dont like the stamper at all but the plates have great designs if I could ever use it.
