I love this little thing. I have an old old old thermometer to stick in a roast or a chicken and the tip is bigger than an old fashioned oral thermometer - hard to puncture meat with it. This slides in an out. I also use it to check the temp of my ginger bug that has changed my life. Well-worth the price.

easy to use, accurate readings

I like this little pocket thermometer and used it quit often in the kitchen, everything from testing fluid temperature for yeast to doneness of meats and temperatures of candy sugars. It worked fine, and was accurate to within 1`F (tested against three other thermometers), although not super fast reading. Then, last week, after almost exactly 2 years of service, it just died. I suspected the battery so I installed a new one but the thermometer still doesn't work now: it turns on but won't display degrees F, only in C; it is erratic and "jumpy" and shuts off after just a few seconds. Oh well, I suppose for under 10 bucks 2 years service is as much as I can expect these days.

Excellent thermometer. Reads almost instantly. We like it so much we bought 8 more and gave them out to friends as part of their Christmas gift. Easy to read display. Simple to clean.

Absolutely work the price !! I use the probe all the time from just checking the temperature of my coffee after heating in the microwave to inserting in cooking meat on the grill to check how done the meat is.

Wonderful addition to my yogurt making. It definitely makes the whole process easier than my finger test.

Works great. Until it doesn’t. I make bread weekly so I needed a thermometer for my yeast. I liked the versatility between Celsius and Fahrenheit and it was pretty accurate. It’s Easy to use as well. However, I used this maybe 5 times and it’s not working anymore. I’m not sure if it’s a battery issue ( I haven’t looked into that yet) but for the price it worked amazing. Just doesn’t last long at all. At least for me.
