excellent value, looks and works like the original lock.
The slider door lock stopped working due to broken interior springs that are used to pull/hold the latches in place. This item was an exact fit and was easy to replace. The door lock works securely as it should again. Good value, good quality construction, seems identical to the original lock except for an extra brand stamp. Highly recommended.

Fits like original equipment
Hardest part of the installation is the alignment of the handle; this part goes in easily. Once installed, it functions so smoothly that I’m kicking myself for not replacing the old latch sooner.

Exact Replacement
It was an exact match and easy to install, works great. The one thing that was an issue was where the lock bars went into the slot on the latch there was a metal bur that had to be filed down to get the lock bars to fit properly. It was an easy fix using a small drill bit the same size as the slot.

Works; fit was slightly less than ideal
Bought this to replace this exact brand/type in a sliding door after the original lock has failed after 8 years of use.Installed mostly fine, although the fit was very slightly off - maybe by 0.5-1mm. Expected better than that since it's a direct replacement.However, installation went w/o major problems and the product works as expected.

An affordable replacement and works perfectly.
It's an exact replacement of the original. We searched locally for one but only could find universal options which wouldn't work.

Exact Match!
My patio sliding glass door wouldn't lock. I spent about 2 days on the internet looking at hardware stores and sliding glass replacement parts stores and no one had it. I didn't think Amazon would have it and was really surprised. My original lock says Vanguard on it, and it has 6- 5/8inch hole spacing which is what I needed and no one carried this mortise lock size. The one I ordered from Amazon fits beautifully and is the same dimensions,double latch, hole spacing and says Fasco on it. It fits beautifully! Plus it was my birthday and getting my door to lock was a great birthday present! P.S. Am a woman, 65 yrs old and not "handy".
