Cute jokes, great lunchbox notes for elementary age kids
Great idea for my 6 years olds' lunchboxes, as I have written quick little notes every day in kindergarden (though I forgot to leave a note ONE day over the year that one of my daughters will remind me of!). Both my daughters ( now in first grade) tell me they enjoy my notes and want me to continue leaving them. This cute little set of jokes are perfect, especially when Mommy's brain is fried after a long tiring day at work and cant seem to think of anything cute or different to write. There is space on one side to write a little something if you choose, or putting a sticker on, etc. The only negative is some of the jokes my 6 year olds might not understand yet. NOTHING adult or inappropriate of course, just simply a word that they don't know the meaning of yet or brand name used in a joke that a 1st grader isn't familiar with. I bet older kids would get most of the jokes, as the majority are pretty easy to understand and silly. I still recommend them overall.

a quick, easy way to share a part of the day
I bought these to put in my daughter's lunch when she started kindergarten. every morning, i would pull a joke from the book, write a note on it, and place it in her lunchbox.she could read, but she needed help with some of the worlds (the lunch aids were awesome with this). i think the reading would be no issue for first grade.i had to explain a lot of the jokes. i understand humor develops in kids at different rates, but i think some of the jokes were over her head because of word play. i got better at screening the jokes for ones she would get, and she got more of them as the year went on.my daughter was a little shy in Kindergarten, and these jokes helped her out of her shell. she would read them to her classmates daily. it became a thing. she would get in the car and talk about the joke of the day.

Cute!
My kids are 11 and 8. This book is still good for the 8 year old. They love getting notes in their lunch boxes and I've done it since preschool. Since they are going to 2 different schools at 2 different times I needed some help so I bought this book in hopes that it would save me time. It does. The jokes are age appropriate but kind of bland. The cover was so colorful I assumed there would be more color (one should NEVER assume - when will I learn that? LOL) but it's all blue and white. The graphics are nice though. I was concerned about it coming in a bound book but they tear out cleanly even if you skip to the middle. I like that. Personally, I would like them to be smaller - seems like a waste of paper for a cover and only one joke per page. This was novelty at best and I feel I got my money's worth but I would not buy anymore. I guess I'll stop being lazy and make my own again.

Perfect to slip in son/daughter's lunchbox!
I bought these to stick in my 1st graders lunch box. He know's I'm thinking about him during the day & really enjoys a joke - plus it's a bit of extra reading. I think his friends look forward to hearing his lunchtime jokes as well. I definitely recommend these & would buy again.

Fun lunchbox jokes for children
Good, silly jokes for children. The only complaint we have is that it's only a single joke per page, whereas the set we were replacing had two jokes per page; however, these are like miniature greeting cards, where the other set was more like post-it notes, so the format might be more "appealing". She seems to enjoy them (or at least having them in her lunchbox) so it was worth the purchase.

my 8 year old loves them
I put one in my daughters lunch box and she loves sharing it with her friends at lunch. They are simple jokes and elementary level reading.

Such a cute idea!
I started using these in my 8 year old's lunches and now it's a fun thing she does at her table and all the kids get excited for her to tell her joke. NOW my 12 year old is jealous and makes me send her one in her lunch too! I just love these!

Lunchbox Jokes: Animals
These are okay. I have 3 kids- ages 9, 7 and 6. I only use them for my 7 year old because she's the kid that really likes this kid of stuff from mommy at lunch. I like the jokes they are on par for her age and understanding, but there's not any color in here. She Loves brightly colored things so I add a little bit of coloring myself with markers or crayons.

A guaranteed smile a day
Every day I pop one of these in my sons lunch box, he loves reading them & sharing them with others. His teacher even thanked us for making lunchtimes full of laughter! I fold mine over and write a little note in the inside cover.

Love love love
My kids love these and I get comments from mums all the time. A couple of the jokes are a little beyond my five year old but he loves repeating them, and my 7 year old enjoys them. Plus space on most to write a little note too, although it doesn’t show up as well on the dark blue slips.
