Perfect for my first grader.

This is the most adorable child’s travel bag. The wheels on the bottom light up when it rolls. There are several pockets that unzip to separate items, and even have pockets inside of the zipped areas for other storage. It’s the perfect size for a toddler to pull around. You can fit a couple outfits in it for overnight stays. And it’s all sewn well and sturdy.

I thought this would be useful, but it's not for my preschooler. The only context it might make sense is the airport, but then it's more of a pain to have an extra thing to track. So it's nice, cute, etc... but I think a normal backpack is more useful for a little kid.
