Donāt buy unless you have 2 hands
Important detail: Iām missing right arm from elbow down. I received the item, obviously tried it out, and tested it on 40% and bam, couldāve swore I seen a spark shoot out of my elbow. I convinced my wife to put it on and hit it at 40% and she said it wasnāt bad, then 50% same thing, Iām convinced it isnāt making good contact so I adjust it on her, then boom I hit her with 100% and she jumped. After playing with it for awhile, figuring it out, I decided to put it on my right bicep so I could turn it off. At some point during the night I pulled it off, my wife proceeded to put it on my only wrist (problem 1) with the buttons on the top side (problem 2) because even if wanted to try to push buttons with my arm they were on the wrong side. At 3:00 am my wife went to fix baby a bottle, at 3:05 my alarm went off. 100% zapā”ļø. I immediately jumped out of bed wondering what hit me, I quickly realized it was the ol Pavlok 3, at which point I realize itās on my only wrist, I look around for my wife to pull it off, sheās nowhere to be found, and Iām stuck in this thing, then it starts beeping and before I know it ā”ļøā”ļøI get hit again. Iām trying not to scream and wake the baby up, I start hitting at the wrist band to break it loose with my half of an arm, and it starts beeping again ā”ļøā”ļøā”ļø boom Iām zapped again. At this point Iām flailing like an inflatable in front of a used car lot, after the second zap my hand locked up š¤, the 3rd time It feels like a nightmare. I finally get the band loose, get it down to my knuckles and ā”ļøā”ļøā”ļøā”ļø hit again at which point I get it off. Keep in mind this has all happened in less than a minute. My wife then walk in wanting to know whatās wrong with me and I had to tell her this story. Long story short, it works great as advertised, I wasnāt even groggy when I got out of bed, and starting tonight itās going on my ankle.

Worth every single penny.
So, here's a little story of woe... Alarms often don't wake me. Before pavlock I was routinely setting 6+ different alarms on 3 cellphones I hid around my room, I also had a bed shaker alarm that blared and shook the bed. Smart lights that flashed and turned on with the alarms. An echo dot that screamed at me to wake up. Most of the time that worked, although it usually took a while and I had to start all that an hour or so before I needed to actually wake up just to get up ontime. But, sometimes I slept right through all that cacophony and still woke up hours late. I've been called lazy, and unreliable, and generally treated pretty poorly by even my friends and family because of this. This is not me hitting the snooze button. I never even hear the alarm. This is very frustrating and has always made it difficult to keep a job, keeping me constantly on the verge of being fired for attendance issues as a result of this problem. Then one day seemingly at random I ran into this little gem. Having literally nothing to lose I gave it a shot... OMG. This thing might literally have saved my life. I haven't missed a day of work due to sleep issues since. My neighbors have stopped complaining about the noise and I'm able to wake up on the first alarm Every... Time... Damn thing makes me do jumping jacks before it will shut off. I have more energy since I'm not sleeping too much. Initially I thought this thing was extremely overpriced for what it promised to do. No more. I would pay twice the price for this thing it has truly changed my life. If you are having even slightly similar problems take the plunge. BUY IT. You won't regret it for a minute.

(Updated) Great design but lacking in too many areas to be worth it.
Almost nothing on the app works as it should. Every alarm has to be disabled in the app and they all āread sleep dataā even if you set a sleep schedule for another alarm. The timer function doesnāt work as intended. If you try and set a 15 minute timer you also have to set the sound to go off every 15 minutes. It doesnāt go off at the end of timers. Stopwatch has the same function for some odd reason. Everything in the app requires an internet connection. You cannot even make a simple alarm. The watch constantly disconnects from Bluetooth if you try and turn off an alarm from the middle button. Which requires you to open the app again to reconnect it because connecting through Bluetooth instead messes it up. Overall the app/watch has everything it needs in theory but the execution is SEVERELY lacking. Especially considering how much you have to pay to even BUY a pavlok device the lack of functionality is astounding. The breaking habit section for smoking cigarettes is also lacking. It simply sends another alarm at a designated time of day saying āhey donāt smokeā. The footstep tracking/distance is set to km and as far as I could find couldnāt be changed and doesnāt match my phone at all. The only reason I did not give a 1 star review is due to the fact the device actually works as an alarm clock like I needed. UPDATE: Okay so Iāve had this device for a while.. I used it at an alarm clock mostly for a few months but eventually it stops shocking as much. Iām at a point now that I donāt even notice it unless Iām actively focusing on it.

The absolutely necessary app's unreliability makes this excellent idea a bit less excellent
Good idea. Lots of problems. First, the app will not maintain connectivity to the watch by default - I've had to re-pair the device to the app almost every morning in order to stop getting zapped. Supposedly this saves power. You **WILL** need to give it unrestricted power. It makes the device profoundly unpleasant to use. This also interferes with setting any kind of alarm on it quickly. Second, the app just became unusable on a fully updated Android phone on 04JUL2025 - apparently due to feature adds that required new permissions - But of course there's nothing to communicate this. I've had this for four months and it was a paperweight until I researched this - after a LOT of troubleshooting. Completely wiping the device and the app and reinstalling will not corrected this issue, and no means of interacting with setting this device is possible without the app. And despite the app's other supposed habit-sculpting functions, I never figured out a meaningful way to use them - that could be a "me" thing I cannot stress enough how much of an absolute chore the use of this device has been because of these issues. I will say the shock function will generally wake one up quite quickly - my primary use case. The vibration function is... decent. The audible beep is very poor, however. The physical construction of the actual device seems reasonably robust. I had originally stated it would take a miracle to get me to purchase from them again, but finding a solution will qualify for the moment. I'm frustrated that they can't do better given the general improvements in wearables. I'm perturbed. A better app would do wonders for this. It's unique, and serves a good purpose

Great device, awful app
The decice works exactly as it should, as long as you can sync the app. They've GOT to get some new developers or something. But I've gotten up on time every day for the past 2 weeks and honest to God... my skin is clearer than ever since I've got the device set up to remind me to drink water. Went from barely getting 16oz a day to almost 80oz. I feel so much better too. I'm more productive because I'm not rushing in the mornings. I set the tone for the day by having time to be productive or journal. It's been my game changer. I opted for the jumping jack mode because I didn't want to have to pick up my phone for any reason. Touching my phone in the AM leads to doom scrolling and I hated that. This has worked well for me. Just wish I could utilize ALL the functionality that the app is supposed to offer.

Pretty much a god send šš»(Sleep like a rock? This is for you!!)
I donāt normally write reviews unless itās something to stay away from but this thing has pretty much changed the way I wake up. Let me start by saying this thing works! (Iām not a bot either lol). Most of my life Iāve had a hard time waking up. Up until this point going to sleep gave me anxiety. I used to have to set a loud alarm clock (over a 100db with a bed shaker) and just pray that I didnāt move throughout the night and it would maybe wake me up. This thing WORKS! There is a bunch of reviews saying the shock isnāt strong enough,,, I donāt believe that. First day my brain slept through the sounds obviously and I got shocked, my brain kinda went into survival mode and pulled the thing off my wrist haha, but I was awake!! (Set on 100% to make sure I felt it). I will say since then Iāve lowered it to ~60%, but the thing is, is that my brain for once has actually started waking up the the beeps it makes before it shocks, so I havenāt been shocked in a few days. The beeps arenāt very audible atleast while Iām actually awake but itās been enough to wake me up pretty consistently. I travel a lot for work and using the loud one in hotels was awfully embarrassing if I didnāt wake up, making me sit there in total silence once I did wake up to see if there were people waiting outside my door šš. TL;DR: if you truly think youāre out of options give this thing a try, it has changed the way I wake up, and I think it will for you too. Iāve only had it about a week. I havenāt had any of the bad things happen yet, connects every time and app is pretty decent. (iPhone). If I have any issues I will come back and update this review! Original ( 04/2024 ) PS::: donāt get the shock clock 1 or 2 unless you simply donāt have the money for this one. In my experience it is very easy to break the silicone band that comes with it and you canāt get a replacement one. The shock clock 3 should be okay. I got this one for the watch band compatibility if I want to change it and the fact it comes with a magnetic band. Cheers!!!

Guilty of 2 flaws
First off, I was very excited for this as I've heard great things about it revolutionizing, and if you have an Android phone and Tasker, you can get creative. However I needed it to fufill 2 things, if it could do either, I'd be happy. One I needed the shock to be strong. It's not, it's like a strong pinch, but to put it in context, if you wanted to sleep in you can just stay in bed even with it zapping you, it's really not that bad. The vibration and noise was worse. I figured I could use it for various things in Tasker but honestly it wasn't even worth the hassle compared to instead getting a regular watch with a vibrate function. 2nd major issue, the entire alarm function is just bad, the jumping jack counter is way off, I set it to just 1 jumping jack and I'll have to do 5-10 to actually get the alarm to turn off. The "smart" alarm function really doesn't work, it's supposed to detect when you go back to sleep but it went off 3 times in 1 morning while I was fully awake and had to do more jumping jacks. And lastly the sleep cycle detection is way off, it'd say I had 0% REM sleep or 30% of the night I was awake, obviously not the case. Only real pros I can think of is that it looks pretty nice, and that it's unique, but honestly I just want to get rid of the alarm function (I know you can turn it off in the app, but it's just a waste of time and resources), increase the shock strength 3-5x, and decrease the price and it'd be a keeper.

Pavlok 3 Works Great! Very Happy! Does What It Says! Would Recommend.
I am extremely happy with my new Pavlok 3 (Deluxe Edition) habit breaker wrist band. It was very easy to set up and it synced with my Samsung Galaxy S20 very quickly and easily... no problem at all. I watched their Youtube video on setting up the watch and they made it easy and simple to understand. Of course, the Pavlok 3 does much more than just habit breaking but that's why i use it. First of all, I love the adjustable "Snap" (electric zap) feature. It can be quickly adjusted from 10% - 100% by using the free cell phone app. I personally use the Snap at 90% - 100% and believe me, you do feel it. It really works! I've had an embarrassing habit for years and the Pavlok 3 is in the process retraining my brain. I do notice the difference and that's just after 2 days of use. I figure after another month or so the habit will be completely gone. Thank God for this little device that's worth every penny. The deluxe metal band is very attractive, works well, easily adjustable and is very comfortable to wear. The main part of the wrist band (the snap/zapper) is sleek and futuristic looking; It looks really nice, like an expensive watch. One of the best things about it is that nobody will know what it is or does... they will assume it's a watch or some kind of health band. Anyway, I am extremely happy with this purchase and could recommend it to anyone who wants to break an unwanted habit... like I have. Another feature I like is that by double-tapping on the face of the (zapper) it will quickly show you the charge level of the device. 6 little lights will light up when fully charged and as the charge level goes down so will the number of little lights. The upper-most light is green with the rest being yellow. No need to charge every day; this device holds a charge for many days... up to 7 days, depending upon how many times the zapper is used and at what level/strength. Again, just to recap... I really like and greatly appreciate this device. I find it very useful and helpful for those trying to break bad habits who haven't been successful in doing so by themselves. It's easy to set up, use, and understand. It's very attractive and comfortable to wear. This device is perfect for those in need of help or are at wits end in trying to stop a bad habit. One last thing... NO, I don't work for nor am affiliated in any way to Pavlok. I'm just a regular customer who is extremely happy to have found a working solution to a problem I've had for years. Maybe the Pavlok 3 can help you too, just like it did me. To the seller... Thank you very much for bringing this very helpful and useful device to market. I was hoping that someone would come up with something like this and you did. Great product, very useful!
