So I may be using it differently than intended, but hey it still does its job well. I have a small bar mounted on top of my dash in my jeep wrangler. It is about the same diameter as bike handle bars and holds my phone, and this fits to it perfectly. I did not mount a Garmin gps or other gps to it though. Instead I bought a simple camera system so I could more easily see my rear facing newborn in the backseat day or night, and I mounted the screen that came with the system to the 17mm ball instead of using the window suction cup it had. Worked out wonderfully.All that said, the mount grips the bar well, it is made very solid, and easy to install. We will see if, like other products, the black paint turns to a bronze in the sun or not.

mounted a garmin on the center of my handlebars on my 2004 Honda VTX1300c and I was surprised it held it without it moving and was very easy to install and adjust... well worth the money!

Cheaper way to mount a GPS to your motorcycle. Quick release cam lock makes for a great stable/secure part time use. The Garmin Drive 52 GPS also adds to the cheaper choice for me.

Good device, well designed and made, but the handlebars of my Spyder are too large in circumference for it to mount. I'm disappointed, but it's not the product's fault.UPDATE: I worked with it some more, used a thinner liner, did more adjustments on the tension device and it fits my Can-Am Spyder handlebars just fine. It seems to be just what I needed and I'm happy with this product.

I used this mount for mounting my 50 LM Garmin GPS on my 1100 Honda Shadow. It fit perfectly as I was able to fine-tune the screw on the lever so it was snug on my handlebar.No slipping! Nothing cheap about it. Very good quality all metal mount. The ball fit perfectly on my GPS swivel mount.

The mounting clamp system is clever, and works very well. Unfortunately, the reason I bought this was because I needed the ram mount; the way it clamps to the handlebar is secondary. The ram ball is constructed is such a way that it pops out of the female receiver on my Garmin mount with the slightest bump. I have two of these (identical) Garmin mounts: one for each of my two big e-bikes. The other ram mount, from the same company, but a different style, works flawlessly. If the ball doesn't lock securely, this mount is of no use to me. Of course, by the time I installed this mount and discovered the flaw, the return / exchange period had elapsed.

I was looking for a way to hold the GPS and not have to worry about it falling off. This well made gadget fits the requirements perfectly

it is obviously well made but because of the way it is tightened down i was unable to put it between the risers on the handlebar had to put it to one side, still functional but not quite the way I wanted to do it. I want it to hold a Garmin gps. for a m/c trip to the west coast.
