I am surprisingly pleased with these!!! I was a very hesitant when I opened the package - these socks look EXTREMELY, disturbingly long at first, the opening looked very small, I thought “there is no way anyone’s thighs fit into these”, I let these sit on dresser for a few days, waiting to get the courage to try them…. And let me tell you, when I finally did, I was so excited. They are PERFECT. The height is great, I can fold them over or have them scrunch up a bit at the top of my thighs. They are nice and thick, very cute aesthetically. I did wear them with leggings under (where I am is extremely cold right now) so I can’t speak on whether or not they slip, but they seem sturdy. A++ would highly recommend - don’t be intimidated the way I was!

I bought these socks because I wanted to look like a cozy, stylish person who drinks tea by a window. Instead, I look like a person who is constantly losing a slow-motion battle with their own hosiery. These socks are a masterclass in fabric-based physics and the relentless nature of the earth’s gravitational pull. 1. The "Initial Ascent" When you first pull these on, you feel invincible. They go up, and up, and up. For approximately ninety seconds, I was convinced I had the legs of a supermodel and the soul of a Victorian schoolgirl. I stood in front of the mirror, took three photos, and felt like I had reached the peak of human fashion. 2. The Great Migration Then, I took a step. It started with a subtle "scrunch" at the top. By the time I walked from my bedroom to the kitchen to get a bagel, these "Thigh Highs" had demoted themselves to "Over-the-Knee" socks. By the time I finished the bagel, they had surrendered entirely and become "Aggressive Slouch Socks" bunched around my ankles like two depressed grey accordions. 3. The "Hitch" Maneuver I have spent the last six hours performing a move I call the "Subtle Thigh-Hitch." It involves trying to pull my socks up while pretending I’m just adjusting my skirt or perhaps searching for my keys in my pockets. I look like I have a very specific and localized neurological itch that can only be cured by frantically grasping at my upper quads every forty-five feet. 4. The "Muffin-Top" Surprise The elastic at the top is designed with a very specific philosophy: "Enter, or Perish." It is just tight enough to create a "muffin-top" effect on my thighs that I didn’t know was biologically possible. It turns out my legs are actually made of bread dough, and these socks are the baker’s twine. 5. The Verdict If you plan on standing perfectly still in a vacuum-sealed room for an entire evening, these are the socks for you. They are soft, they are cute, and they are incredibly warm. However, if you plan on "walking" or "moving your joints," be prepared to spend 80% of your day pulling them up like a frantic penguin. Pros: Instantly increases your "Cozy Aesthetic" by 400%. Great for hiding the fact that you haven't shaved your knees since the Obama administration. Very soft (until they are full of carpet lint from living around your ankles). Cons: Gravity is their sworn enemy. You will develop the forearm strength of a professional rock climber just from the constant re-adjusting. Will eventually become very expensive leg warmers for your shins.

These are cute but they put my skinny ankles in a “death grip”. I can touch finger to thumb are my ankle. I’m not even gonna try to pull them up to my thighs. These are really tight. Nice quality, somewhat thick. They are breathable, but only function as they should, which is comfy and cozy, if you have beyond skinny ankle and calves, and I’m standing on toothpicks. They are not comfortable and not cozy because they are too tight. I have almost every color there is, but wear my black ones the most and needed a new pair. Other brands aren’t as tight as these. I just thought everyone should know. Maybe it’s just this pair that was sent out to me, and others are fine.

My wife has long been obsessed with thigh stockings and socks. These are a perfect match for her to use during the fall and winter months while keeping her legs warm and looking great. They are not too think, but think enough for their intended purpose. Easily throw in the washer with other items of hers and come out looking great. True to size, made to be a little oversized. Buying these in a set like this is great value for your money. Super cute

My boyfriend bought these for me and I absolutely LOVE them!! They are the perfect balance between being thick and warm while also breathable! I'm 5'0 and haven't had any issues with them sliding or falling off. They sit just above my knee and have been great for outfits or to wear to bed! Highly recommend!

Summary of my Review: Black ones fit chubby legs and if not stretched fully the braid-like pattern looks weird. The band of the top of the stocking varies, I am betting this is because different lengths of elastic were used. 1 of the black ones has a slightly tighter elastic band. Both of the white ones have very tight elastic bands. 1 of the elastic bands on 1 of the white stockings was not tied off (there are five elastic bands on each stocking, both for the black and white) but I am lazy so I am just going to loop tie it 3x and then double knot like I am tying shoes, then I am going to stretch them. The stockings are an acrylic knit so you are getting what you are paying for. They are good for cheap and I am going to be caring for them very well to prevent wear. Beginning of full review: I was thinking that they might not go up all the way but they kinda do. I was able to pull them up all the way put it was too tight so I’m just keeping them above knee. This is perfect though because they are exactly what I need for gyaru style (especially in the winter months). The only reason I pulled them up all the way was because I saw a review photo of the white stockings where the fabric was more stretched (could see some skin through the knit) and made the braid-like pattern on the stockings more pronounced. I was worried because when I got mine the pattern looked weird, but once I pulled them up they looked better. They are black though so it doesn’t matter that much. On the other hand, the white ones are tighter on the calf because the band of the stocking (I tested the black opening with a different section and it had nearly the same stretch, in comparison the band of the white stocking was off by two or three inches). I’m planning on stretching them by wearing them and maybe putting them on something so the elastic stretches. Also, the elastic on one of the white ones (I did not put it on yet) was not knotted. At first I thought that it was the thread holding the seams together and was about to tie it until I noticed that it was elastic for the top of the stocking. I’m just going to loop not it though because I’m lazy. On the topic of the material, it is not good. The stockings are made of acrylic which is made to look nice and luxurious but, if you have ever seen something that’s, say, hundreds or thousands of dollars it will look cheap but not feel cheap and it will hold wrinkles. While acrylic does hold wrinkles, it is very easy to get rid of them. You literally have to smooth the stocking with your hand and they disappear. In conclusion, you are getting what you are paying for.
