GI Joe (2020) Snake Eyes

Must be a reboot as Snake Eyes origin differs to that shown in the original film. It also differs from the comics/cartoon apparently, I am no expert, as does his ethnic origin. In the comics he is Caucasian and blond.How he meets the Joe's differs from the comics and in this he has not taken a vow of silence nor is he missing his vocal cords.All could be forgiven if the new origin was clever and well written but it's not. It's very generic and several of the actors are in my opinion miscast.Another film I have been waiting to see only to be very disappointed.Avoid.

Poorly written, predictable drivel. In no way ties in to the origin given in the previous films, don't bother unless you enjoy brain dead nonsense!

The two main series films were two spectacular comics based on a toy universe. Here we have a prequel that tells the "birth" of two "minor" characters from the series. If you remember the previous ones (perhaps, since they are practically "disposable" shows) it clarifies the general plot a bit. However if you like the genre it is a good action movie, with a pinch of ancient magic, full of special effects. But after the two hours of show, there is very little left.

The story is of the need to avenge and how a young boydevelops into a martial-art killing machine.Henry Golding plays Snake Eyes.The film is indeed action-packed and was a film i'd looked forward to watching having seen the entertaining G.I JOE movies, however, this thouigh a so-called0 beginning didn't really offer a future connection in my opinion, I also found the story-line and script a bit thin in truth and felt a bit disappointed overall

As a stand alone movie it's okay.But as a origins movie it's utter crap. I watched all 3 movies in sequence. This doesn't make any sense at all in relation to the other 2. The story as absolutely nothing at all to do with gi joe.Really really disappointed.

The 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray disc version of this film has greatly improved sound and picture quality over the standard Blu Ray disc version when played through a 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray player and a 4K ULTRA HD TV with HDR (High Dynamic Range).

You'll enjoy this, but it doesn't quite hit the jackpot. It's proficient but not enthralling. Considering how popular SN and SS are I thought a two part series would've been in order. Some fantastic action scenes and great performances but not as thorough as I would have liked.

One thing they got wrong was the script. In the original GI JOE snake eyes swore a vow of silence after his master was killed. I thought it was gonna be a story about a silent assassin, but of a let down really.
