Initial use: a kick-ass tool
I think ad pic is inaccurate as it is much larger than shown. The plastic is a heavy duty Bakelite-type material.Pole size accommodation is very large - my tent pole is 2” diameter and the anchor still had to cinched down. The “thread” is a full inch wide and has a curious build: it isn’t continuous. The spiral is sectioned with each set at a different angle to the next. This gives the one spiral several cutting edges. Never saw that before.I put the acnchor into the ground almost to the handles and cinched in the umbrella pole. The 7.5’ (vented) canopy didn’t budge in the wind.Only the first use, but a good start. That’s the reason for the 4 star. I may change to 5 later.

Ship ahoy
Anchor worked great to secure the umbrella i purchased from Amazon for my trip to PCB

Exactly what I needed
Need spike at end to anchor into sand. Most with rounded end do not hold in sand.

Works like it should
I have a smaller one that is easier to use. When screwing it into the sand you have to keep downward pressure on it but it does hold well afterwards. Other than that it works well.
