Harold and the Purple Crayon (Purple Crayon Books)

Bought this book for my 3 yr old grandson. Good story of using your imagination, which he is starting to understand. And, the movie is coming out and I wanted a point of reference for that.

My favorite book for "children" of all time.But then that's me.I should add, I've seen the trailer for the movie. Perhaps I'm being unfair having not seen the entire film, but it appears completely off the mark. This a simple, story of innocence and imagination, of insecurity and confidence, and our perception of reality.

Growing up, I remember this book coming out it was so simple and loving. Well I haven't thought about this book in 30+ years. Then I did hear about the movie. So it brought make amazing memories. I decided to get the book for my sister, since we both read that book as kids. Instant transport back to the 80s.... she told her daughter that when she has kids, she will be reading that book to them....see...it's generational w some of these books....majority of movies came from books etc...so if you remember the little bald headed kid wearing an all blue one piece pj's, who has a magical purple crayon that takes him on adventures...then you've found it. It's innocent. It's simple. It's something to be cherished.

In perfect condition. Was delivered promptly and where the deliverer said it was.

Great book and a wonderful time reading this book and it does not take a long time to read you have to read it.

I took my son to the movie to see Harold and the purple crayon He loved it so much I thought he should see where the idea for the movie came from. He received and read the book immediately. Took me back to when my children read the book many years ago.

Love the hard cover. This is a classic book to have I hand to read to a child anywhere from newborn infancy through toddler age.

Liked everything except the misrepresentation of the cover. Purchase is a gift.

Perfect for my 2 years old son cause he can't damage it easily, the material is hard and good. The book is smaller that expected but so so beautiful. My son loves it!!!!

Nothing beats reading a book from your childhood into your childrens childhood. It’s exactly as I remember it. Also the condition it arrived in? A bookworms dream because it was in mint pristine condition. Would absolutely buy it again if I needed to get this as a gift for someone else. Kids adore this book.

The book is amazing. It has simple illustration and only two colours but explain fantasy to the kids. Through the simple line that the young Harold trace with his purple crayon a world is revealed.
