Shenandoah Homestead Supply 1 Pint / 16 oz American-Made Glass Beverage Bottles with Screw On Cap (Set of 6)

I was so tired of using plastic that gets an odor, and the 24-pack water bottles I get at the market have a "1" on the bottom which means use only once. I had bought different size Rubbermaid and had to throw them all out because a couple--that had never been used--had something green growing in them. But the glass is great. They're solid glass, and the covers fit snugly. And, I can see what's in them. I have these bottles in the quart and half-gallon size, all purchased on Amazon from The Dairy Shoppe. I used them for liquids, rice, cereal, bread crumbs, just about everything. And a bottle brush cleans them well. All my bottles arrived well packed. And these 6 pint bottles were in such a sturdy compartmentalized box, that I saved it to store some of my fragile glass Christmas ornaments in it. I don't leave a lot of reviews unless something's really awful, or really great. This product is really great.

I bought these to pre-make my low carb drinks so I'm not tempted to grab something with a ton of sugar just because it's cold and available. I only wanted to buy glass. My concern is a cap that fits securely so I can shake the bottle and mix. Well, I'm sad to report that this bottle does leak slightly...but knowing that I just wrap a kitchen towel around the top now. Still a great set of bottles for the price. The glass seems durable and I am able to wash it in the dishwasher. I don't take chances with the caps melting, so I hand wash those.

These are high quality glass bottles with durable reusable lids, however the lids do get loose if you over screw them, thus not-so leak proof. I dropped a bottle at low height and the liquid splattered feet away because the lid isn’t 100% tight and may become loose if dropped. I wish they were more secure and leak-proof, but they are still great bottles.

A quart size is too heavy for grand-mom to handle. This is the perfect fit and it doesn't leach the old milk from previous uses like the old plastic bottles did. We'd fill from a 1/2 gallon into the bottles. And the screw on cap is a MUST have. Older people find it easier than the snap top lids that are too tight for arthritic hands to use. THANKS !

We tend to spill things around my house so we try to drink only from cups with lids and I prefer glass. When I noticed the number of bottled water bottles that were in our recycling bin I was surprised. We have a filter on the water coming out of our fridge we should use it. So we purchased these. We fit all 6 in the door of the fridge and each one marked differently (gotta love Cricut) so when we finish with the bottle we can refill and put it back in the fridge after a good rinse. I am on video calls a lot for work and everyone loves my milk bottles that go along with my farmhouse back drop.
