Obsessed
I’m really hard on shoes. Most people think I’m crazy because I’m 5’3” 110 lbs. However, I wear down the outer part of a heel so quickly by the way I walk.I have a pair this color. My goal is to finish the school year with the current pair, which will make them 2 years old by May. These are my backup—next pair up when needed! They last two years because I—cough— have so many colors of Taos shoes, I rotate to coordinate with outfits. The price was good, I can’t afford at full price, but Amazon sellers generally have some styles that are affordable. They are comfortable for me. The arch support keeps my feet and calves from cramping. The arch is high and stiff/hard. These may not work for everyone.

The best!
I typically don’t have great success with the fit when I order shoes online. I have a narrow heel and need good support through arch. These shoes worked in both areas! And they are so stinking cute! I did order up 1/2 size per review suggestion. I’m not sure that was needed as I have quite a bit of length in toe—but they feel good so I kept. I will be trying other styles of Taos.

Cute shoes, fits small, not kidding
Nice colour and well made. Substantial arch support. Cute style however….I usually wear a 9 regular in shoes. I tried these in a 9, but they were too small, too short, too narrow. I reordered a 9.5 wide. They’re better, but after wearing them for a few weeks, they still feel too small and that I need a 10 wide, a size I’ve never ever worn before.

Cute AND comfortable AND well made! It doesn't get much better!!
I am a scientist which means I spend a lot of time on my feet every day, and am required by safety regulations to wear closed toe shoes in the lab at all times. Since I just wear a lab coat every day I get to dress casually, but that doesn't mean I always want to wear my athletic sneakers every day. I'm always on the look out for comfortable, versatile closed toe shoes that are cuter and more fashionable than athletic shoes. I have worn Chuck Taylor slip ons in the past but truth be told they're too narrow for my feet and are uncomfortable for that reason. When I saw these I thought they'd be perfect! They're simple but cute and offer a great deal of support and comfort without being too big and chunky. I have very high arches and LOVE the arch support these offer!! That is so rare to find in a shoe like this! They are well made, high quality shoes. There was very little break in. I had a little rubbing on my heel the first day and it took the tongue a few wears to be really comfortable on the top of my foot (with a no show sock underneath) but otherwise felt great right out of the box! I always wear size 8.5 and these fit exactly as expected. I love that the laces aren't too long and I don't have big ugly bows or tails to flop around when I walk. Sometimes I tuck them in the shoe so they're not visible. Once you tighten them up they stay that way very well on their own without needing to be tied super tight. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and can definitely recommend these! I paid full price.

Cute, but not comfortable
These are pretty cute shoes, love the color. They do run a bit short. My narrow foot does not really fill the shoe up, so they crease awkwardly when I bend my foot. The arch support is serious, but hits my foot a little too forward (even though the shoe is almost too short).

I was really surprised by these sneakers
My feet are evidently going through puberty again as they've grown from the women's size 9W that they'd been for my 20s and 30s to 10.5WW in my 40s. Fashionable shoe choices for feet this size that also address my other foot problems (namely moderately severe bunions and hammertoes) are almost nonexistent, so I've pretty much given up on "nice" shoes and focused on comfort. Just for reference, my right foot is 5" wide from bunion to bunionette and my left is 4.75" also from bunion to bunionette. These Taos Star sneakers are surprisingly stylish. I heeded previous reviewers' advice to buy a half size up and ordered these in 11W. The fit is just the slightest bit off: the back of the shoes are a touch too wide so my heels slide around (causing my socks to roll underneath my foot) while the front half of the right shoe is a touch too narrow to accommodate my bunions and pinch my pinky toes, causing blisters on my bunions where the tongue meets the shoelace eyelets. A previous reviewer mentioned that the toe box is angled a bit oddly, like a narrow almond shape, and I have to agree. Arch support is impressive to me: there's no abrupt hump on the inside edge of the shoe the way there often is in other shoes. The arch support is gradual and starts almost on the outer edge of the insole. Maybe I'm just easily impressed. :) These Taos sneakers feel stiff in the soles and insoles as I walk; there's not a lot of flexibility so it feels a little like I'm wearing hard shoes instead of sneakers. Weirdly, my feet don't feel as tired or achy after a long day of running around in these as they do in actual athletic shoes. In spite of my complaints, I would buy these again but maybe use a shoe stretcher to widen it out a bit in the toe box.

Loved the look, not the wear!
I bought these shoes in February, and they seemed to fit well. Now that spring has arrived and I wore them for an hour or so , I developed blisters from the switching in the heel cup. What a shame to discover this flaw now that I can no longer get a refund or exchange!

Sturdy shoe. Great arch support. Cute look. Order up in size!
These shoes are super cute. I’m happy with the sturdy arch support. Keeps my foot in place. I wear 8.5 and they fit. Just. Should have gone up to 9. I will buy again.

So uncomfortable - very disappointed
I bought these based on the great reviews. I wanted to wear them around Europe. They looked super cute with Jean shorts. They hurt a little at the top of the foot and by the toes (and I bought a size up). I tested them out one night to a baseball game and they really hurt the whole time. And one of my socks kept falling under and I couldn’t get it back up without untying the show and taking it off. So disappointed that I spent the money and now I have to find new shoes.

For a comfortable runner, this is it!
So comfortable, better than Vans any day.

The best
I really struggle with getting comfortable footwear that doesn’t look like I’m 90!I have two pairs (Both blue) of these sneakers, I wish it was easier to get them in the UK in different colour. They are comfy to wear, no breaking in can go a good walk in them and they’re comfy.I love them, Come on Taos offer more styles and colours In the uk!
