If you have a budget and would find a small power supply useful, I would recommend this station. I found the hot air temp to be right on, but the soldering iron was about 25C lower than displayed. There isn't a way to calibrate that I know of. I'll research that, but I'm pretty sure it's not menu driven. Maybe there's an adjustment inside. The temp rises quickly, but there does seem to be a delay between sensor and tip, although it's not too bad.The voltage from the power supply was right on, as indicated and went up to about 15.6V. I don't really understand the test probes being included. I'd much rather have alligator clips for the power supply. Or even better, both sets. Personally, the meter isn't very useful to me, so I haven't really tested that out. I have read where originally the station came with shrouded connectors, but the bananas that came with my unit are not shrouded and will push right in as they should. I also have some spare alligator clips that fit the probes, so I don't have to purchase another set of cables.All in all, I consider this to be a good purchase. A lot of times with these inexpensive units, you can purchase iron elements from other name brand manufacturers that work and will function better and last longer. Just make sure you get one that matches the specs or your sizes and/or temps may be way off. I'll cross that bridge if the iron element burns out on this one.
