Iconikal Aromatic Cedar Wood Clothing Storage Sachets, 1-Ounce, 8-Pack

Every year we've lived here in rural central Florida has been a battle between us and them. Cell phone reception sucks but we love the privacy. We have four adopted cats. One of which is a Manx who is very eager to do guard duty and will sit in front of the dishwasher or bath tub at night to protect us. That may be an exaggeration. He caught a field mouse once and had the greatest time flipping it up in the air and catching it and I would swear he had a Cheshire smile. My husband was horrified though even as I said it was normal cat behavior. We haven't seen one since but I've seen some palmetto bugs bit in half. This year it's been attack of the sugar ants and it was my turn to be horrified to find a scorpion in the master closet. I hate bug spray but we used it and still had the problem. Surfing on Amazon solved it for me though. Googling research informed me that red cedar keeps bugs away. It does nothing for spiders but if there is nothing to eat than they'll leave anyway. These cedar rings are in floor corners and the inner holes are put on clothes hangers. They remind me of the sign of the donut in Mars Attacks. Sorry, I have a tendency to go off on a tangent. Bottom line is I haven't seen anymore bugs and I love the smell of cedar.

Doesn't last long.

Been on the hunt for cedar chips for my boyfriend's boots for a long time. We decided to try these and they are fantastic. They take away the wetness and smell I don't know how they do it but they are great. It's nice having the chips in the bags cause there is no mess and can just throw them into his boots wit eas. Came with 4 bags so can get his boots and shoes taken care of at the same time.

I bought these cedar disks to put in our clothes closet. I was hoping I would be able to smell the cedar when I opened the closet. I do have a medium size walk in closet, so I wasn't expecting the smell to be overpowering..but to at least smell a hint of cedar. These disks don't really have much of a smell. So, if you are buying these for the smell....I would try something else. I can't really speak to whether or not they discourage moths..i didn't have a moth problem before. So, they may work for that. They disk are made of a smooth wood that is pretty to look at. I have left them on my hangers in the closet because they make keep out a future moth. Not a horrible buy...just wasn't what I wanted.

So easy to use. I put them in my clothing bins and hang them in my closets.

Scent isn’t strong enough for what needed for great size for the small places but the scent wasn’t strong enough

I have no idea if cedar really works against bugs but if it does, these will do it. And either way at least they'll give a refreshing cedar scent to my clothes. Came in three separate sealed packs, so I didn't need to use them all right away. It would be nice if the center holes were slightly bigger -- they were a tight fit on some of my hangers (thick plastic ones) and they don't work so well if you're trying to bundle hangars closely together (as in a garment bag) since you can't adjust the angle at which they sit. But for a strong cedar smell, these are a good buy (assuming every batch is as fresh as these.)

With the other review saying their cedar rings didn't smell, I bought cedarwood oil just in case. However, the set I got smells potent and of cedar. I knew as soon as I opened the box I wouldn't need the oil, and that was with the cedar rings still in their plastic bag. I actually ordered a second set since the price is a lot cheaper than other cedar rings and they smell great.
