Serves the purpose
Purchased this when I could no longer find the thread wax that I always used before. It works just as well and the container makes it easy to get wax on your thread. I have had no issues with a funny odor as stated in other reviews.

Dry and crumbly
I bought the thread conditioner beeswax for silk cross stitching floss and the beeswax was very hard and dry and not able to get thread to penetrate the beeswax to run the floss through and the outer surface of the beeswax crumbled as floss went across it. Ended up putting it in a drawer. Price was cheap, at least I wasn't out too much.

I've been using these for years.
And I do mean years. My mother introduced me to this wax for conditioning thread for hand sewing. The same configuration, encased in a plastic slotted case, has never changed. I'm pleased to see that some things can remain good as well as consistent.

I feel friction when pull my coated floss thru the fabric
I do a lot of cross stitching. I found the product hard. Although it does prevent twisting and knotting, it doesn't allow he floss to slip thru the fabric as easily as Thread Magic. I tried it because I wanted to see the difference in products available and use the best. This product is okay but I wouldn't buy it again.

Good for the price
I purchased 3 sets as I sew a lot. When I received them, I was excited as the beeswax is hard to find in stores. I have to admit , though, these were not as strong as I wanted. The coating does not last as long and I have to keep reapplying the wax onto the thread
