I already own three Seagate External Drives of different capacities.... all in all I have 3.5 TB of External capacity and all drives work like charm. No complaints whatsoever.So want to buy this 4TB drive but the price difference between US and India is so ridiculous that I am unable to buy it. Hopefully Amazon will contact the manufacturer and make it available in India at a cheaper price. Really need it soon but can't buy knowing very well the price difference.Also, It has become very easy for consumers to get not so bulky items from US through visiting family and friends. So, kindly check your price differences coz world has become really small.

Do not buy this drive (STDA4000300) from India. It is available in the USA under a different designation STDA4000100. The reason is that the Indian version overheats and will fail soon. You'd be wasting your money on nothing more than an expensive paperweight. The US version is more efficient and sturdy and also Rs.7000 cheaper. Try getting from a reliable online retailer who will ship it here or get relatives/friends to buy it for you.

bought this on sale from US of A for my xbox one and it is phenomenal. it is a bit big and heavy and uses 2 usb ports but the capacity and speed is 2 times of most other high end portable drives available in the market. good for transferring and storing huge files. best drive I have bought till date

There are no proper instructions as to how the drive is to be set up. There seems to be no provision to provide a password for the drive. Cant carry important files without a password. Incase anyone has the answer please do inform.

This version STDT4000300 consistently overheats. I get avg. running temps of 41 degrees C after which I have to shut it down. Bought it on a lightning deal for 9k so did not do my homework, my bad. Never do an impulse purchase of a 4TB HDD based on a lightning deal. As already mentioned in another user comment , this model STDT4000300 is designed to fail with poor temperature management. I now use a DIY fan enclosure but even then I see a 2 degree rise every 10 minutes with no use. This is a bad model, defeats the purpose of use as a backup drive, consistent high temps WILL kill the drive sooner than most external HDD products.To be clear, Amazon is awesome, this Seagate model sucks.

Esperaba que fuera un poco menos bromoso pero pesa mas y tiene mayores dimensiones que dos de mis discos de 2tb juntos. Pero es por una muy buena razón: ¡Es increiblemente rapido! Tiene velocidades de transferencia sostenidas superiores a 210 Mb/s. Comparado con discos normales que transfieren maximos de 90 Mb/s (60 sostenidos) es una gran mejora.(Supongo que el espesor y peso adicional se debe a que aloja mas platos y esto le permite leer mas datos simultaneamente por cada vuelta de los platos lo que se traduce en altas velocidades de lectura y escritura).Es una gran alternativa al disco sólido. Pero asegúrate de comprar el "Backup Plus Fast" porque en la misma publicación vienen los normales.Esta muy bien armado y se siente robusto. Incluye dos cables USB 3.0 un largo con doble socket (energía suplementaria y datos) y un cable sencillo.Es muy Rápido y versátil. Me sirve perfecto porque solo almaceno archivos grandes para consultas ocasionales.

Organizzato bene.Il software tuttavia non funziona bene: spesso si interrompe per cause sconosciute, quindi il backup non sembra del tutto affidabile.Opportuno ripetere l'operazione per essere sicuri di avere completato ciascuna operazione di backup.

Awesome product, came very fast. The best external hard drive you can get with out needing a power cord. Quick and easy to use just plug in the USB and your ready to rock. I'm using this with my laptop for basically my whole iTunes library, and a separate one for my Xbox one.

Love this solid little portable hard drive. Works great with my Mac Pro 3,1 (now classified as "vintage"), my MacBook Pro 2011, and my MacBook 2015. I use it to store movies, photos, and all the files I need while I'm travelling. Small, not too heavy, lots of capacity. Glad I got it.
