Another solid vacation reading!
Jill Mansell's books serves as an avenue to take my mind off from life and work. They make for good vacation reading.I gave it a 4-stars as I really enjoyed it and finished the entire book in one vacation! Here is the ugly:She introduced three starting couples with heavy co-stars so it was confusing and difficult to follow in the beginning. She could have done a better job of clearly identifying characters and smoother transitions from chapter to chapter, character to character. The core theme of the story did not come until the last couple of chapters. Perhaps she wanted her readers to carry the suspense until the end and be surprised; but I thought the timing came bit too late.

Beautiful Jill Mansell story
I've loved every Jill Mansell book that I've read, so by this point, I know going in that I'm ready to love whatever new she's written. That being said, this book was wonderful. Mansell has a bit of a formula, but not in an such an obvious way that it dampens your enthusiasm for her next book. Typically, people are attracted to one another/love one another/are interested in one another, but due to various obstacles, often internal, as well as misperceptions about other characters, don't believe a relationship will work or fail to pursue the relationship. Eventually, everything is resolved in an happily ever after. That formula was apparent again in this book, but like always, the story line was beautifully unique. Going in to the story, the reader knows that an awful tragedy will affect someone in the book. Mansell does a wonderful job making the reader care about all of the characters, so getting through to the end, to discovering who that tragedy affects, made me very apprehensive - I had to fight my instinct to turn to the back of the book to find out who becomes the organ donor. I won the battle, but learning the answer definitely gave me a few tears.Really, a wonderful story, one that gives you an appreciation of love and life and the possibilities that exist while we still have time.

Loved it.
I always love Jill Mansell books. Her characters, plot lines, and outcomes are a delight. The highest compliment being that I re read them from time to time, because they make me feel good. I avoided this one because I didn't want to become involved with a beloved character who was going to die. Yes, cowardly. I admit that I kept flinching, expecting each new character to be the one who was going to die, or have something terrible happen to them. There is a great resiliency to her characters, and a positive life force about them. Yes, some happily ever after are inevitable, and formulaic, but if we can't admit that that is why we read these books, then our next novel should be from Oprah's book list, and not another British chick lit pick. Both have their places, but for pure escapism that is satisfying, well written, and engaging, I choose this route. This one is worth a read, no flinching allowed.

Exceptional, Emotional and Enchanting
I'm a huge reader of Jill Mansell's novels. I've devoured every one I could get my hands on and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Three Amazing Things About You is my favorite. The characters are all engaging. You really do care for them, rooting for their happiness, crying for their sorrows and cheering for their happy endings.

Another Home Run for Mansell
Once again Jill Mansell, arguably one of the doyennes of chick lit, has knocked it out of the park with this warm, uplifting tale of love and human relationships. She adeptly draws us into the lives and trials and tribulations of our three protagonists. I fell in love with the sympathetic Hallie and rooted for her from beginning to end. Mansell, as always, does not disappoint and I recommended this highly readable and enjoyable book to all my friends.

Another winner!
Amazing! This book by Jill Mansell is different from her other books in that she tackles a difficult subject of chronic disease , unexpected tragedy and the beauty that can come from sorrow and loss because of organ donation A truly sweet story.

Amazing!
Okay so to start the book seems a bit disjointed and you're left wondering why there are multiple story lines going on that don't connect. But then you realize you're 1/3 and the characters are great and you're laughing and think yes this is why I love a good Jill Mansell novel. Then the storylines start tying together and you say no wait! Then before you know it you're up at 3 am glued to your book and ready to toast the ending

Outstanding, beautiful, will tear your heart apart.
This will probably be the longest review I have ever written. I don't even know if anyone will read it... Here it goes.I picked up this book personally because of the main character and I having a common issue. We both have Cystic Fibrosis, a life threatening condition that affects mainly the lungs and digestive system. We have to live with the idea that we may die young, daily medication and treatments and the never ending dilemma of coughing.I knew reading this would be hard, a lot of the issues Hallie had I could relate to. I found myself tagging pages where I could relate to certain situations and feelings, I would say to myself, " yes I know how you feel" or "story of my life"Hallie is in her late twenties, slowly dying. She is on the transplant list just waiting for the call. The story focuses on 6 main characters and I don't want to give anything away but this story is extraordinary. It is so beautiful that it will leave an ache in your heart. It is a must read.I want to thank Jill Mansell for writing this book. Not only did it make me feel better about myself, Jill has brought awareness to the fact that we need organ donors.I may one day need new lungs. I may need a new heart. I may even need a new liver. I just don't know. I'm not on the transplant list, and I am very well for someone with my condition. However in time my health will decline and I may need new organs. So it's very important to me that there are more organ donors out there. I am on the organ donor list, I have been for 10 years now. I don't know what I can give away... Probably not a lot. But if I can save even one life then that's all that matters.Thank you again Jill for this amazing story.5*****

Amazing Balancing Act of Interwoven Plot Lines!
The thing about Jill Mansell is that she is the absolute master of weaving the stories of different characters into one, cohesive novel. She really shows that skill off in Three Amazing Things About You. It's difficult to explain in a way that doesn't blow the plot twists, but she's really at the top of her game with this one. Each of the parallel stories are tightly written, believable and engrossing on their own - but the way Jill brings them together in the end is terrific. Highly recommend this one!

Jill Mansell's best book yet!
The main character in the book is a 28yr old called Hallie who has CF and runs an online website as an agony aunt. In order to give out her advice to total strangers, she asks each person writing in to tell her three things about her. Hallie (or Rosie as she is known to her follows) always gets her replies spot on. They are so funny and well written. As well as Hallie, there are also two other main female characters - Flo and Tasha. When the book started I thought that somehow we would find out that they are all school friends who know each other but this is not the case - their paths do all cross but not in the way you would expect. In keeping with the "three" theme (three is the magic number after all), there are 3 very different stories to follow and 3 men to fall in love with too.I Jill Mansell has done it again, she has excelled herself! This book was FANTASTIC! I have read enough Jill Mansell books by now to know when tissues are going to be needed and i could sense this was coming about 3/4 of the way in - i immediately turned the kindle off and saved the rest for when i was at home, alone! Thank goodness i did!! About 4 pages in when i resumed my reading and i was crying my eyes out - tears of happiness and sadness. A wonderful book.

Laughter and tears with Hallie & co.
I have to confess to being a big fan of Jill's writing, she's also based in my hometown which does entertain me when I am reading her books and recognise a place she's written about. This novel is one that has been receiving some great reviews around the book blogging community and I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy. I am very pleased I did, like other novels I have read by Jill three amazing things about you did not disappoint.I love the characterisation in this book as each of them seemed to remind me of someone I have known over the years, whether it's Hallie who harbours a love for someone she can't have, the delightfully funny Joe who always manages to make a joke out of everything but is a secret softie at heart, or the spiky and downright awful Lena. I loved how even Jeremy the grumpy but wonderful cat is given an important role in this book and that, I think is where Jill Mansell's true talent lies. I have read many of her books and her characters touch my heart in every one, whether I'm meant to love them or loathe them they always come alive for me and that was definitely the case in this book.I have to admit to laughing out loud at certain points in this book, and I am quite glad I read it in the privacy of my own home as I can't imagine what a sight I would have looked laughing like a hyena on a sun lounger around the pool. I think this is especially true if someone had then seen me a few chapters later with tears of sadness running down my face. This book was definitely one that pulled at my heart strings but also helped by adding a fair splash of humour meaning that I wasn't in a sobbing heap throughout.I did find that at the beginning of this book things felt a little disjointed, I couldn't see how the stories connected and there were a few times when I had to either stop and think or head back a few pages to find out who a character was or how they were related, this is something I do tend to struggle a little with when stories have a large cast of characters. Once I got about a quarter of the way into the book this small issue was ironed out, I found that the story flowed a lot better and my enjoyment of the novel increased hugely. The slight disjointed beginning is the only reason for my four anchors review, otherwise this would have been the full five from me.If you are one of those readers like me who gets emotionally connected to your characters then please be prepared to both laugh and cry along with Hallie and Co in this fantastic offering from Jill.

Different........poignant and bittersweet.
Having read all of Jill Mansells books I have to say that this one is definitely a different read. There is still a big element of light hearted chick lit with comical phrases and events, especially in the first 75% of the book but the ending is beautifully poignant and bittersweet. From the very first pages we know that Hallie is getting a lung transplant so this is not a plot spoiler, then as the book moves into the past and we are introduced to the other characters we start to wonder if one of them is going to be the donor, every time we think we have it worked out, something happens to prove us wrong and the story moves on.It is quite slow as the book moves from one set of characters to another with seemingly unconnected story lines but the ending more than makes up for this and I have to admit that I shed a tear or two!
