Easy to assemble and install, but I wouldn't consider them very safe or sturdy.Bought 2 to fill an empty doorway and to keep our cats out of the attached room. The cats can't seem to get through, but if we even bump into either gate - they move and sometimes fall.Doesn't seem very safe or sturdy, considering stubbed toes or butt bumps don't really take that much force. We quadruple checked each gate to ensure they were tight without breaking them, the only option would be to secure them to the wall/frame with screws.Unfortunately, we can't secure them as we're renters and our landlord doesn't want the door frame drilled.

This thing has revolutionized my life. It looks great in my house, and is so easy to use. I purchased for my dogs to zone off parts of the house during certain times of the day, and it’s worked wonders. My one dog has Jack-Russell in him and he could get over normal baby gates by climbing and jumping, but he can’t get over this thing. The little door is so easy to open and close. Highly recommend!

The gate functions fine, but who thought it would be a good idea to slap a massive paper-based warning label on the frame of a decor gate? I read the other reviews which mention the sticker and though “no problem, I’ll just remove it carefully”, but nope; I spent 45 minutes just trying to remove this ugly sticker with goo-gone and a razor blade.You know that everyone is going to remove this before they even get to step 1 of the instructions, why not use a more appropriate decal product? The yellow warning sticker on the other half of the frame was vinyl and came off no problem.

I purchased 2 of these gates to block off the staircases for a german shepherd puppy. They are sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. Easy to put together. Note the extension that comes with it is actually the total width of 37 inches. The door swings inward or outward which is a nice bonus. If you are short a few inches a 2x4 inserted on the end fixes the issue. Good quality craftsmanship a german shepherd is quite big and when he jumps up on the gate it doesn't move. Seems to stay in place when clamped tightly. Highly recommend.

I was recommended this product by word of mouth. I bought this as it claimed to be pressure mount & I did not want to drill holes in the ball or banisters. The pressure mount mechanism did not work as expected without also screwing a plastic counterpart for the pressure pads in the wall & banisters. Ended up returning the item.Also, this gate has a rod to connect the two ends that rests on the floor. I found this to be a tripping hazard for adults. More so as I planned to mount it near a flight of steps.
