Works Flawlessly when used with dedicated on-camera flash controller
Does require an appropriate Godox on-camera flash controller costing an extra $69.00. Watch YouTube video on using Godox flash systems, but generally easy to setup and use.

Next best thing to a light box.
This is a great macro setup, especially when you don't have a light box handy. It synchs well with my Fujifilm XT3, and the trigger also works with my Godox T685 so I can add some off-camera light when desired. This is perfect for your wedding ring/wedding cake photos. It also fills the bill if you happen to do some crime scene photography. Good value for another solid product from Godox. Recommended.

These are really nice. But they're not an end-game solution.
When I began using these macro lights on the ring, I was very happy with them. The only gripes I had were that they didn't put out quite enough light in some situations, and there was too much shadowing with only two light sources. So I ordered two more lights. For the money I spent on this and the 2 additional lights (total of 4 mounted on the ring), I could have gotten something better. A better flash and diffuser hood would be preferable in a lot of situations. It's also annoying to have to turn on all 4 of the lights one at a time, and adjust settings individually. But the settings don't need to be adjusted every time. I did get a flash synchronizer to work with them, but that's one more thing to fiddle with, and keep batteries for.If you're going to use this on a lens with autofocus capability, make sure to disable autofocus. This is heavy. Especially if you add lights. That puts a significant strain on the lens motor. I use a Tamron AF 90mm, and the awful sound that came from it when I forgot to disable autofocus with 4 lights mounted on the ring had me worried the motor was going to die if I did it again. The light array is reflected in shiny surfaces. It's not terrible, but it's definitely noticeable. I found it more annoying than typical ring light or hood diffuser reflections. The included stands are a nice touch. I haven't used them yet, aside from a brief test. But they should facilitate some nice macro shots of still objects in a studio environment. I'd imagine they could be useful for angled lighting in a lot of situations.Overall, I'm impressed with these lights. I don't think I'd say they're ideal for my typical macro shooting. I'm generally photographing insects, plants, and other arthropods out in nature. But their flexibility and ability to hold a charge have served me well. If I could go back in time, I'd probably try a more affordable alternative first. A smaller ring light or a large diffuser hood would suit me better in most cases. That opinion may change as I start doing macro shots of still objects in a studio environment.

Excellent for macro photography
Excellent for macro photography ,love the wireless connection. Only handicapped by the physical size/location of the flashes making this not suitable for 2x or higher magnification as they would bump and cause physical obstruction unless the flashes are removed from the ring.
