Green ValleyOrganics Black Beans Pouch, 15.5 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Our huge box came and the first package tasted like metal - we immediately threw them out. Really hoping the rest aren't like this...

I love these beans! They make it so much easier to cook and prepare meals. I like that they are organic in a non-BPA container, and I just rinse them off before adding to my favorite dishes. I don't understand the negative reviews, they don't have a ton of flavor on their own but no plain organic black bean would.. and the price at two dollars per pouch I think is very reasonable given the convenience. I would definitely recommend, and my Chinese medicine doctor recommends black beans for improved kidney function, so I'm happy to be able to get them in my diet on a busy schedule.

I did not like the fact that theses beans were cooked & not dried. I couldn't tell from the description whether they were dried or cooked. I was looking for dried beans. I do like the convenience of these beans being ready to eat. They need spicing up but on the whole they are good.

These are partially cooked, still need to boil them. Not able to add them to meals as easily as I had anticipated

Multiple packages had exploded prior to delivery. Several of the remaining packages were strangely inflated as if they too were about to burst.

We love these black brand and have ordered them repeatedly. We do boil them for about 10-15 minutes and add some light seasoning, but they are wonderful as another nutritional component to our weekly dinners. I’m surorised by these negative reviews. I’m sure it’s possible to have issues. I’ve never had issues with packaging or delivery. It comes in a thick cardboard case and all the bags are lined up neatly and protected.

Smelled like a horrible chemical I rinsed them out and took a nibble. It was awful.
