This 2.3 mm thick blade consists of approximately 0.6%-0.75% carbon for added strength and durability. The length of the handle is 5 inches giving the knife an overall length of 13 inches. To ensure the knife won't rust/corrosion, the steel blade also consists of 16-18% chrome material. IMARKU CARE FOR YOU - It is not suitable for slicing through frozen foods as this may make the blade lose its sharpness. -The knife isn't designed for use in a hot flame because this may make the protective finish to wear away and give the blade a permanent dull finish. - The chrome-finish doesn't rust or tarnish easily and requires minimal maintenance. Also, cleaning the knife is as simple as washing with clean water and mild soap. - Do not use your hand to test the hardness of the blade - Hand washing is recommended and not for dishwasher.

2nd purchase of likely more
Purchased first one for my daughter so she'd have one of her own when she moved out into her own place and it came very sharp, right out of the box, ready to use! The quality is top notch and the price is great, so I bought this one for my other daughter. Anticipate buying a couple more in the near future as well!

Amazingly sharp
This German knife is amazingly sharp and well balanced. It comes with plastic sheath to protect the blade in a drawer. The handle looks like wood but doesn't feel like wood and you can not tell if the tang runs the length of the handle as there are no rivet seen.

Super sharp knife
I love a sharp knife and this one fits the bill. It has a nice weight to it but not too heavy. Easy to wash and is just as shiny as when I took it out the box. Not much to say other than nice knife at a good price

Don't put it in the dishwasher.
The day that I received shipment, i used it to prepare a dinner for a small group of friends. I NEVER put my knives in the dishwasher, and nobody should. But, I didn't notice one of my "helping" guests put my new knife in the dishwasher. It rusted with one wash. Small portion of the blade and I still (otherwise) enjoy this tool.Knife came with a GREAT edge to it and that edge is holding up nicely.

Sharp!
I got one for me and one for my son who does most of the family cooking. He loves the knife and the great sharpness of it. Can't believe the price but the review were great so took a chance - glad I did. He wanted more variety but none could be found in that brand.

Can get better quality for about the same price at Homegoods. Will NEVER purchase again
Leaves streaks behind after usage, rinsing with water. Not the sharpest in regards to cutting etc. Will NEVER purchase again. Better quality to be had elsewhere for competitive price
