Been using for 2 weeks
I’ve been using this for two weeks so far with my second grader and it is really helpful. We do one page a day and I can tell it is helping to reinforce concepts in bite sized, manageable chunks. However, these concepts are not new to my son and I don’t think this would’ve been a good fit for my son’s learning style had this been the first introduction. For many students, who can pick up and memorize grammar and spelling rules quickly, it wouldn’t matter if you used this book as an introduction or review. For my student, he requires a certain level of consistent practice on one topic before moving on and I think this book covers more topics quicker than his needs require, for an introduction. This workbook is EXACTLY what we needed to help him finish mastering these concepts though.

Very useful book
I bought this book for my son who lives outside the US and is ahead of his class with his English studies. This book is very easy to use, it has clear instructions and good practice for each subject. I tear out the pages for each lesson so he does not need to carry the whole book in his schoolbag. I love it, but what's more important is that HE enjoys working on it.

Great product for review
We were generally happy with this product. There is very little description, however. Each page is devoted to the activity with a very small box at the top for example, saying what a noun is. This is extremely fast paced. For example, nouns are covered in only 13 pages are are broken down as follows: page 11 and 12, which are the first student pages, explores identifying nouns. There are only 8 to 12 sentences/questions on each page. Here the child underlines or circles the nouns and then it is on to page 13 where plural nouns are introduced. Then on to page 14, where we add "es", then page 15 where we "change the y to i and add es",Page 16 and 17 are irregular plural nouns, page 18 is a 5 question review and then page 19 is already on to possesive nouns. I like that the workbook covers everything. We use it as a source for being sure that every aspect of Language Arts is covered, but in most circustances, more practice is neccessary to allow the child to fully understand and master the work. I have discovered that this book will work perfectly for my gifted child who grasps knowledge quickly and is ready to move on, but the typical child may need an extra work. The Language Fundamentals Daily Review, which we purchased together with this book does not correspond to the lessons taught here, so does not offer extra practice on the same material in the same order.

Moves fast. Best used as a supplement.
Great supplement but definitely not all you need as it lacks much "meat" to the lessons. Moves really fast without really teaching anything also.

Not a fan of this book.
When I received this book - I was in awe but few weeks of Using it - I found there was way too much to cover for a year. As a homeschooling parent - I think this covers many different aspect. So we will take it slow.
