Amazon EssentialsMen's Classic-Fit 7" Chino Short

Have been trying to find 'classic' men's shorts. I find it hard believe that so many suppliers and makers of men's shorts get this wrong! A 'classic' fit means the legs are above the knee, but only by a couple of inches, and NOT below the knee, either. The legs must not be skinny tight! Or even just visually too lean! Modern, so called, fashion shorts seem to be designed with a silly slim look, where legs are tight in the shorts! Why?! So, these are a proper chino, which is medium weight cotton, thick enough to give shape, and also they are 7'' to the bottoms of the legs, and this for me, taking size 30 waist, is perfect, as they DO fit about 2'' above the knee. I am sure, pro rata, in sizes they will for you, too. The best thing is that the legs are not skinny or tight or silly, they are a good size, without being too much. Hence, a true, good looking, classic fit. And whilst ''Essentials'', they seem well made and of good quality! Took ages to find, as I didn't want daft, too long, too tight shorts that are for younger males, who, frankly, look a tad daft in them anyway. Good buy!

Very well made shorts that hold up against all the usual UK high street retailers. The 7" in-seam is spot on, just right, and the pockets are all good. However, one big problem, that basically means these are only good for gardening or decorating - the enormous hem. If you've ever bought trousers in the USA then you'll know that they can come in a tad wide in the thigh, and these are no different. Perhaps not surprising as it's a US brand and probably made for that market, but even so, they're massive. I measured them across the hem and they're a good inch and a half wider than anything else I could find. If you like the massive shorts look, then these are for you, otherwise, maybe just send them to Sir Chris Hoy.

Brill. Great alternative to expensive high street

OK: mixed feelings on this one.I like the length of the shorts: for me, just above the knee. They feel comfortable and the cotton is good quality. Pockets are roomy, and the rear has a buttoned fastener.But: the fit is odd. OK, I bought size 40 although I'm a 38 because I wanted a roomy fit. And around my legs, the fit is prefect: 38 would have been too snug. But the waist is more like a 42, which is about what it measures. So I need to wear them with a belt to avoid shocking the world with my trolleys. And this results in a fold of material around my waist.If you have thin legs and an ample tummy, then these could be for you. For me? Not so much.

These are such great quality shorts. Amazon produce the best shorts in my opinion. Very smart looking, very nice fitting shorts. Bought multiple pairs because they are such great quality, especially for the price. Sizing is accurate and fast delivery. Pockets can hold a phone and wallet.

Good fit and good quality for the price. Good tailoring and good quality material for the price. Great value.

I have now purchased 4 pairs of these shorts since my first order. They are lightweight, comfortable, perfect sizing and very well priced. These are now the only shorts I buy for Summer and can highly recommend.

After reading some reviews on the sizes and length by those who stated they were similar sized as my husband I decided to go with a 34, glad I did. They were a little big in the waist but the length was accurate. Shorts come just above his knee which looks nice if I would have purchased his normal size (32) they would have been too short (daisy dukes lol). The material is very soft and the shorts are very well made. Great for the summer, I ordered him multiple colors.

I really like these shorts bought 2 in different colours . They fit in all the right places and hang properly on a bigger man. Great pocket space with out feeling or looking bulky. Would buy again.
