I have been a loyal, longtime customer buying Clinique’s Aromatic Elixir. The color is yellow, not clear and not dark brown. It is typically sold in bottles that are not clear glass. Hope this helps. Love the scent and always get compliments when I wear it. I have heard that the scent may vary on individuals.

Q: Can someone describe what this fragrance smells like?

The fragrance is an oil propellant and has earthy tones. I have been wearing it for 40 years and am told by friends family and strangers it smells a little bit like patchouli (not a lot), but it also is clean smelling.

I do not see this on either of my two bottles of this perfume.
