This Disc Works GREAT
This Shaping Disc (Course Extreme) works REALLY well. It is very aggressive regarding the amount of material it removes, so a bit of practice is beneficial to dial-in the results. Build quality is excellent, and it appears that it will last quite a while without significant wear. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.

Perfect Tool
I bought this item to sculpt the seats, backs, and other parts of chairs I build, and although this is the first sculpting I have done on my furniture projects, this disc did a great job for me. I primarily work with Colorado Blue Pine, and this disc was just aggressive enough, did not tear the grain, did not clog, and still seemed brand new after the first set of chairs.

Not cheap
These things are not cheap. They work good for what I used them for. I ground down knots on cedar trees I'm using for a log build. They ground them down in no time and make a really pretty finish once sanded. The product is pretty spendy and after about 6 10-15 foot trees I'm already thinking it wont last as long as id like but its the best way I've found to do it (using an angle grinder). They also gum up and need to be cleaned which is a pain but it'll make them last longer and more effective.

Goodbye 60 grit sandpaper!
I learned about this from watching Blacktail Studios videos on YouTube. I make oak epoxy resin tables. Oak laughs at sandpaper. My belt sander could barely make a dent in it. A planer or a router can hog off material, but for freehand shaping this thing is amazing! Be warned, though...they call this EXTREME for a reason. Even on oak this thing will remove wood with almost NO effort. Sounds great, right? It is...until you mess up your project with 1 slip. This is not for finishing work. This is for rough shaping and hogging off wood quickly. Also...60 bucks seems steep until you realize that this thing doesn't seem to dull and will likely last me forever. My next purchase along these lines will be for a less extreme Kutzall disc.

Amazingly great product
I rarely write reviews. But this so exceeded my expectations that I had to write: - It's solid - It's extremely well balanced. In fact, so well balanced that it has a bit of a gyroscopic effect that keeps the tool straight. - It's surprisingly quiet especially for what it does. - It creates fine sawdust vs big chunks that I expected. While this is the coarse model, it left a rather smooth finish which was also unexpected. - It even looks cool. My application is that I needed to hog out a 1-1/2" wide and 1/2"deep slot of the inside of an 8-foot column wrap that I built for our porch columns. I had used a variety of tools on another of the columns and it took forever (maybe 45 minutes). With this tool, I completed the job in about 3 minutes. This product and similar do seem a bit expensive but given the time saved, it's hard to argue that this wasn't worth it.

Removes material quickly.
Great product, a little pricey but worth it. I use this for making wooden bread bowls and it removes material quickly. Alot safer than the chainsaw blade disk.

Clogs up very quickly leaving it useless. The Arbotec alternative is 100 times superior and worth the extra cost. You can't cut a right lot with Pooh.

It’s amazing how fast it’s cleans the wood. Real power and it’s not getting stuck in the wood while working on it. Expected that, but surprisingly sharp and fast. Did a 3 meter long tree all around and the tooth’s are still same as when I started. Perfect tool!

I’ve been using cheaper carving discs before. But the kickbacks resulted in one too many injuries, so I decided to change to premium discs. And it was soo worth it!! Kutzall discs are such a joy to carve with. No kickback at all for me. I love wood carving even more now 😁!
