Great Bazaar Swad Fennel Seeds, 7 Ounce

I've always bought my spices in the tiny, expensive jars at the grocery. After being chastised by friends that I consider excellent cooks, I decided to try an experiment and ordered these. What a world of difference! The flavor is wonderful. I have learned that spices are more than just filler to add to food.Note--this won't make me a great cook, I can barely handle canned soup--but it will start me on the road to becoming a better cook.

Fennel seeds help to boost breast milk and are said to be anti-colic for the baby. Each day I have boiled water to make fennel tea, my little one has not been crying at night! If you like licorice at all, the tea has a light licorice taste to it. I use 1 tsp to 1Tbs of fennel seeds per cup. It has other health benefits as well.

Chewing these helps me expel gas from my stomach

It clearly says “pack of 2” 7 oz but I only got one pack sent. Very misleading!!!!!Also it’s not at all fresh and fragrant. Do not recommend at all!!!

Quality of the product is tops but the packaging could be better. I say that only because when I opened the package it split and I had to transfer the contents to a jar. Luckily I opened the package over a bowl.

We recently started making fennel pork meatballs, and I wanted to get fennel in bulk. This 7oz bag of fennel is the same price as a 1oz container of fennel in my local grocery store. I’m not a fennel connoisseur, so I can’t speak to the quality of the fennel; but, I’m very happy with the results in meatball form

Makes a nice tea and very effective for soothing indigestion after meals.

I had an empty pepper mill kicking around the spice cabinet and decided to try homemade Italian sausage.To speed things up, I sussed that grinding the seeds might help, then I forgot they were in the mill, and spiced up a couple of other things. It was a good idea. Good quality whole seeds, with lots of flavor.
