I received this item without the "free carry case". what do i need to do to get one?

Not really.. my truck has a storage bin inside the cab and they don’t seem to have any issues.

How much weight will the actual netting hold?

Probably a lot. It’s good thick bungee cord netting. Really well made. It’s meant to cover the load in a truck bed or on a rack, so I’ve never tested it.

How well does this work on a cargo bed that is 70" long?

My bed is about 76 inches. Works great. One of the best things I've bought.
