The construction is nice and the price is not bad - BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT... like others have said, the slot for hooking it to the microphone boom, is too large and slips off - no use, UNLESS UNLESS UNLESS, the seller adds an extra piece of rubber and DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT cut it in pieces so one could wrap it around the boom to tie and then screw fit the opening on the boom... so there - I used some additional pcs of rubber and tape to hold it all in place -

Bought this by mistake and yet I am keeping it. I thought this is ment for phones as well (I can use it for phone in vertical position of a phone only) but its more for tablet. I really like the clump connecting to stand as its solid and didn't open on its own. I like that the secure hicks on a plate of the device expand so I can place my ipod with its cover. I don't like that the plate easily slips of the part that's its connected to stand. When I try to take tablet/ iphone off this device the 2 parts often disconnect. Need to be careful to not to drop anything.

Would have given 5stars but only will mount on bottom section of mic stand (the thicker part) useless mounted there, the bushings provided werent thick enough, had to fashion my own bushings, now it mounts fine. Also the size will accept my 10.1" screen only horizontally not verticle as I need it to be, so again I modified it by adfing velcro to the top holders and on the ipad allowing it to sit in the bottom holders. Works fine now. Company should prob modify the mount so 10.1" screen will fit either way.

This works for my phone, tablet and Ipad. It will connect to junctions on microphone stands similar to the picture in the product promo. you can adjust the angle with the tighteners on the product. Extra rubber is not really needed and I think this will serve a musicians needs or for karaoke. Also, I enjoyed paying 5 times less by purchasing it here on amazon.

Works great. Did have to add a little more padding to get it to fit my stand, but that was an easy adjustment.

ipad holder was okay...but the clamp for the mic was too large and gets separated always...i have to cut the rubber that went with the clamp so i can use 1 1/2 thick of it...and i have to put a tape on the clamp so it will always be in place...this should have been a very simple accessory but came out so complicated to use...

Holds the tablet well, but the clamp is a bit too large for standard mic stands. We had to wrap a rubber strip under the clamp to make it work.

The clamp that holds the tablet will detach from the base easily...maybe to easily. The range of motion for moving and serting the tablet view is limited. I use a telescopic Mic stand as shown in the image but I had add padding the clip to make Xcellent attach securely to my Mic stand.
