This was my second attempt at finding a tie-out with a clasp that would not release itself from my 11-month old beagle's no-pull harness, while I shovel snow. This tie-out appeared to be just what I needed as the clasps are so stiff that it was almost impossible to attach it to the harness. However, within 2 minutes, "Lola" was loose and following her nose, with me in pursuit. The harness loop is intact. The clasps on the tie-out are intact. Lola is a small beagle and NOT a Houdini so how did the tie-out clasp disconnect itself from the harness? I will not trust this tie-out again, and will never recommend it to any other pet owner.

I have a 90# redbone coonhound who will break 1/4” aircraft cable in no time. The problem with every cable I have ever bought is that they have a plastic coating that cracks and bends at the crack in the cable and breaks but this new Canadian made cable seams to be covered with nylon coating and so far the coating on the cable is holding up. I am impressed by the size approx 1/8” coated aircraft cable. The clasp is very strong and will never come off. If this nylon type coating will resist cracking this winter then I can understand the company offering a lifetime warranty on their product. So far I am very impressed with this tie out cable and would highly recommend.

I really like this brand but these cables can not be trusted to protect your larger dog. I had two of them and the first one broke at the bass of the clip. The second one broke at the tip curve of the clip. In both cases the metal just snapped like plastic. Very brittle alloy of metal I guess. My dog is 95 lbs and thankfully he did not escape both times. If your dog’s life depends on it, don’t trust these. Saker needs to have a talk with their manufacturer.

I have two beagles. I bought 2 of the larger cables. They worked very well (other than the two dogs get tangled but that is not the company's fault).The clasps are very sturdy as are the cables. I have purchased numerous others in the past and I would suggest that you skip the others - pay a little extra money - and get these.I have also purchased two of the smaller 15 ft. cables for when we travel. I have not used them yet but we're ready for Spring.I do not understand why other people remarked that the clasps were stiff. I find them fine and much much sturdier than all the others I have purchased.I would definitely recommend these tie outs. I have had them in the Spring, Summer and now Winter. No problems at all.

I do not normally put out reviews but thie Saker stake and tieout cable is worth it. It works as it should. It held my great dane on a camping trip securely. The tie out cable pairs well with the stake and is great for containing a large breed dog. I was impressed with the follow up from the owner Chris. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to use it on a large breed dog and the after sales followup and service is a definite plus.
