TrimaxSXTC2 Premium Stainless Steel Coupler Lock (2.5" Span)

I am using this on an ATV/UTV 6.5x12 Diamond C utility trailer. It has a "different" hitch mount, of which this particular 2.5" lock works extremely well. It is stainless steel. - The only problem with this or any other locking mechanism is that it CAN be broken into! If there is a will, there is a way. I at least double lock everything I have, just hoping to at least slow someone down. I would purchase again!

Could use a bit smaller width, as the hitch ball lock on our travel trailer is only 3/4" thick, so it rattles around a bit. Aside from that, this is a fantastic, low-profile way to secure your trailer while hitched or unhitched from your vehicle. We were mostly concerned about locking while the trailer is unhitched from the car in campgrounds and parks, and this seems like it will do the trick. Heavy gauge, "no-drill" lock (supposedly). Maybe someone could get through this with a saw blade, but I doubt if bolt cutters would do it, so seems like we will be secure.

My mom says my dad has a “leaky attic”. He’s getting old. But according to him, this thing does the job and I believe him because he forgets more things than not so it must work pretty good.

While originally would not fit my hitch, with some grinding wheel time made adjustments to the ends and now it works exactly as I had hoped.

Works exactly as promised. Lock cylinder is looser than expected on 1/4" shaft, but does not come free. Dust cover is likely to be lost, but does its job now. Key opens lock easily. Will know in several months how durable the lock turns out to be.Our previous low budget lock lasted for 21 years without a problem, but it could not span the gap of the new trailer coupler.

I am always looking for high quality products for my trailer. I previously purchased a Trimax product and was impressed. I have been looking for quite some time for a new coupler lock that is well made and doesn't stick out to the sides unnecessarily. I ordered this one based on the dimensions (2.5") and it fits perfectly. The product appears very well made.

Strong and solid as described. Functions well and I feel more secure using it. While nothing will prevent someone determined enough to steal it will require a thief to work a little harder which may make them look elsewhere for an easier target.
