Quality razor
Edwin Jagger is known for razors that last a lifetime. Solid metal, good weight, and high quality. One star off because the package arrived dented in shipping, however the razor is in good condition.

Pretty good looking razor, the handle is not slippery. You can feel the weight of this product while using it.

Lasts the test of time - Years of perfect shaves!
Picked this razor up years ago when I was first getting into the wet shaving scene. For years I had struggled with thick and dense beard hair that was impossible to debulk no matter what I did. Cartridge razors would leave me with hundreds of little red ingrown bumps and I felt like I would never be able to achieve a clean-shaven look without the eventual happening. That has no longer been the case. The Edwin Jagger De86 has been a huge help with getting a good shave in - it has a beginner-friendly design where the blade exposure is less aggressive in comparison to other safety razors. The razor also looks pretty sleek sitting on my bathroom countertop but looks aren't everything, luckily this razor has much more than that. This thing clears my face in a few passes and is hard to clog up with hair (no more making my face raw with multiple up-and-down cartridge razor passes). Cuts are few and far between and are usually because I am rushing, but if you take your time and do it right you will achieve an amazing shave every time. For beginners, I would recommend that you use Astra superior platinum blades with this razor. I have sensitive cut-prone skin and have found that the Astras provide a very clean and comfortable shave compared to a few other brands I've tried in the past. Take it slow with finding the right angle using your razor and you'll have it down in no time.

Kalite
Efsane, yüzüm çok hassas, özellikle gırtlak altı her tıraştan sonra 5-6 yerden kanıyordu, taraklı pearl marka bı tıraş makinesi kullanıyordum, taraklı makinelerin en büyük özelliği aralıklı tıraşa Uygun olması,ama 8-9 günlük sakalı bile zor alıyordu,bu makine taraksız olmasına rağmen 5-6 günlük sakalda hiç tıkanmadı, gırtlak altı tertemiz yüzü hassas kişilere tavsiye ederim

What is good, is good enough!
It's my 3rd Edwin Jagger. Only Yaki wins , as I have 4. I have an Edwin Jagger Kelvin DES89, another Edwin Jagger DE89 with a smooth chrome handle, a Mühle R41 open comb , a Merkur 41C ,( too mild ) a Wilkinson Edger TTO (very good and smooth with the right blade) a Yaqi The Final Cut Adjustable ( a nice surprise ), a Yaqi Mellon, a Yaki Top Agressive Slant ( scary but ultra effective ) a Yaki Knight Helmet ( also scary but effective as well ), a Yaki Beast, a Yaki Telstar,a vintage Gillette SuperSlim Twist ( what a confortable handle and shave ) and a Parker SRX shavette razor. I use them all, except the Parker shavette (I haven't mastered the technique yet). I bought this 3rd Edwin Jagger because I think it's very nice with its superb and original and old style 3D diamond patterned handle, efficient in wet hands. I already know the head very well, as it is the same as the Kelvin and the DE89 smooth chrome, and I use Feather or Kai blades (a smooth head requires very sharp blades). The head is actually very smooth and comfortable, and with the Feather blades, it becomes very efficient, without losing its smoothness. I just use Feather or Kai blades on the EJ closed comb and Wizamet Super Iridium in all the others, as they are more agressive heads. In terms of build quality and finish, the Edwin Jagger ,Yaki , Muhle and Wilkinson are very similar with a sligtly edge to EJ and Yaki , the Parker razor is wonderfully built ,and finally the Merkur. The finish on the Merkur open comb head is not as good as the others. The EJ handles are superior to those of Mühle in terms of construction and finish, the Yaqi handles are very well built as well, the closed comb heads are practically the same, ( EJ and Mühle) although there are differences in the blade gap and angle (the upper part of the head is more curved on the Mühle). The EJ DE89 is more efficient or " agressive " than the Mühle R89. The handle of this new EJ razor will work with the close comb head , the smooth chrome handle is paired together with the Mühle R41 head, which fits perfectly, with Wizamet blades. A note about the comments about broken screws: EJ recommends not tightening the head to the handle too much; in addition, I use a plastic washer between the handle and the head, which helps to dissipate shocks. I also wash the head after each use, disassemble everything and pour a drop of clear thin oil on the screw. Anyone who wants to start or make shaving a daily pleasure, just has to have this razor, or any EJ DE89 in their arsenal. Very good, efficient and smooth.
