From my perspective there are 5 chief benefits that you get from this item over the non electronic options of a protractor or spirit level.The first benefit is size it's very compact which means you can carry it about in your pocket easily, secondly it doesn't require the fiddling about that you have to do with a protractor, pulling it apart, positioning and adjusting it in various ways to get corner angles correctly measured. True with this you only get one reading at a time but it has a memory so you can save a reading and move on to the next. Thirdly it comes with some powerful magnets which make it very easy to attach to metal surfaces and fourthly it's accurate and can be recalibrated easily if you have any concerns about accuracy. Fifthly, the combination of size and shape and of easy access to the controls whilst in use means that you can use this in awkward places (even upside down) where the use of a traditional protractor or spirit level would be difficult.Nice touches I like about product is that the device came pre powered, that the readout is large and clear and the buttons and labels on the buttons are of a good size and make it easier to see what you are doing. Also, the contrast between the bold letters and the grey background on the readout made it easy for me to see the read out even in quite dull conditions.Price-wise this a lot cheaper than some similar products that offer no more functionality than this. I have noted that there are cheaper alternatives but I didn't like the look of their readouts which on the photographs I saw looked more faint than the bold dark read outs on this device. Also there buttons and labelling where not as easily visible.I like this. I found it easy to use and sturdily built and I was impressed by the overall quality of the manufacture (including the strong magnets) which I thought was very good.

I note that this button enables relative measurements between objects/positions.It’s quite easy to operate, but the main issue, for me, is that it just doesn’t feel right, it isn’t a conventional spirit level, obvious I know! By that I mean you not only use a spirit level to determine horizontal, upright or 45 degrees, it also provides the opportunity to draw a level line or check the level between a number of points, this doesn’t enable that.However, this gadget has some advantages:• Compact - you can establish any level without size constraints.• 3 magnets in the base will allow you to attach to flat metal surfaces (not pipes) in awkward situations.• works upside down (see pic).• Digital display enables pinpoint accuracy.• Memory function.• Relative measurements (between objects).Although my pictures show the readout, the screen can be hard to read in some situations.The measurement can be displayed in either degrees or percentages.Arrows either side of the digits show which end needs adjusting.If necessary, measurements can be saved.The included instruction sheet is reasonable, but whereas the advert suggests IP42 (water spray) rating, the sheet warns to keep away from water. Needless to say, I haven’t tested this as it could render the product useless!Overall, I very much doubt that it is something a tradesman would use as the primary way of establishing a level, but it could be useful in some situations. Could be a bit cheaper than the current £19.99.

The following is a review of the Xuntop brand Digital Level Box LCD Angle Gauge. It comes in a small cardboard box with the device inside a pull string type velvet looking carry bag plus a double sided sheet of instructions. Its powered by a singe battery/s (supplied, three x CR2032 type so ready for instant use and easy enough to find when needing replacing ) and is ideal or has many uses for assorted tasks involving accurate measurement, mainly on saw benches, bench drills, router tables etc - the list is endless. In use its held to a metal surface or blade by three strong magnets then you calibrate it as per the instructions and away you go. I tried it out on my bench drill to get the table square and compared to my somewhat, usual ‘stone-bonker’ precision basic calibrated in degrees tri-square I have used for decades and it was spot on. On my son’s table saw it was easy to set the blade to a precise angle of 45 degrees so. Its claimed as being waterproof to IP42 and I can believe it as the battery compartment is reasonably sealed once tightened up. If anything the only ‘down side’ is that depending on how you view the LCD screen or rather in whatever light (or sunlight as we found) and angle you are using it, it can be difficult to read at times but its a minor gripe all things considered. For accuracy its really on the ball and natty little device in anybody’s workshop or toolbox

I have used this style of device previously and found them very useful. One particular furniture maker I used to work with used them to set super specific angles on his table saw and compound mitre saw. He'd use the magnets to attach it directly to the blade after having squared the blade off against the bed. That's not all it can be used for though. Really, what you can use it for comes down to how imaginative you are.I certainly wouldn't use it as a level over a long surface like a shelf. You would only be leveling the small section it was sitting on, not the full length of the shelf which may be warped. That's why there are levels of different lengths. Use the right tool for the right job.As for this particular device, I'm impressed so far. It's easy to use, it's robust, and it's accurate. I'm not sure what more you could want from it.The price at the time of this review is £20.99, which is an okay price. You get what you pay for.

This instrument is being used to align table saw, compound sliding miter and radial arm 10 inch saw blades. It can read within 1/1000 of of an inch resulting in near perfect cuts almost all of the time. Practice cuts which result in loss of time and waste of material are virtually eliminated. I am extremely pleased with this measuring instruments near perfect accuracy. It is indeed a worthwhile purchase!

Er haftet gut an den Edelstahlkonstruktionen. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt mit 3 Knopfzellen der Type CR2032, welche lange halten. Im gewerblichen Gebrauch sollte man jedoch immer 3 Ersatzzellen dabei haben. Standard Akkus der Type AAA wären hier sicherlich angebrachter gewesen. Aber so geht es auch.Wir setzen das Messgerät für die genaue Messung der Neigung bei aufgeständerten Photovoltaikanlagen in Pultdachform auf Garagen für die Versorgung von E-Fahrzeugen ein.
