These light switches are a great way to update builder grade light switches without having to change the actual switch. I like to paint these the same color as the walls so the light switches don't completely stand out, especially in a dark colored room.

It took multiple thick coats of paint to get them solid in color. I have seven including the lake and I did one in every color of the rainbow for my daughters room. I made it work for a child’s room, but I wouldn’t purchase them if you want to paint them and have them look actually nice in any other rooms.

I used a small roller and they turned out perfect for latex paint. (also used a small foam brush to paint inside the switch area, and the end of the screws!) One coat was all it took to match the newly painted walls. One suggestion.... check the edges of the cover before painting. Several of mine were not totally smooth - a bit of plastic remained from manufacturing. Smoothed them off with an emery board, and they were perfect!

Honestly, wasn’t expecting too much off a .50 light switch plate. I was surprised though. These fit perfectly on the switch, screw holes lined up 100%. And to top it off, these look better. They have better lines and curves and they’re super strong.

I had purchased these years ago from a local hardware store and when I went to get more recently they didn’t have any. Good thing for Amazon. They look great when painted to match the walls. They blend in nicely.
