Card is in good condition and works! I have little joystick covers and it still reads through it so you can leave the card in the sleeve. I invited her to my island in ACNH and she visits same day (this was my first amiibo). I had to do a task for her, and will probably have to invite her again before she will move but I know she can live on your island since I've had her in a previous save.
