His Little Princess: Treasured Letters from Your King A Devotional for Children (His Princess)

I love these books by Sheri Rose Shepherd. It’s like reading a love letter from your Heavenly Father. They will make you cry tears of joy. Sheri has a way of making your little ones feel so special & loved by God while utilizing the Word of God. Good for any aged child.

I gave this devotional to my 9 yr old daughter on her baptism day after she made the decision to follow Jesus. She absolutely loves this devotional. We read it together at night just before bed and it takes about 4 minutes to complete it. Sometimes she reads it out loud to me, and sometimes I read it to her. The beginning starts with a letter to His princess, then a Bible verse, and then a prayer. It's a great tool on the beginning of her journey of faith as it is encouraging, inspires devotional time to our Father, and challenges just enough for her spiritual age. She even told me herself it has inspired her to read her Kid's Day by Day Bible in her free time. Not only that, it encourages me in my faith as well. Those nights when I am completely exhausted, I tell myself it is only 4 minutes and that I can spare that much time with her as she wants to do it with me. It is always worth it-we lose track of time and we both feel blessed by God through all of it. I would have liked to have had this devotional when I was a little girl.

What a great little book. If you want to bless your kiddos and ensure that they know the love of God then this is a must have book. I read it to my kids at bed time and switch it to children as my son likes to listen in also.

Found this on accident at our library, but it was the boys version about knights I believe. Wish they had a multi gender one so that you can use the same book for those who have multiple children. I like both books, they're fantastic! I do wish they had more of the same topics for the girls that they had for the boys. I thought the boys had a lot of great things on valiance and honor, fighting and standing firm. The girls is still absolutely wonderful though. I'm really really glad we found this book! We read it like a daily devotional. I read the part from God, and my daughter reads the prayer. We will do it in the morning and at night on the same subject. Highly recommend this book!

A great addition to my princess gift to my niece for her 9th birthday! I was blown away by the content of this book and it is a great reminder to know that she is a REAL princess because she is a daughter of a King(God). I also got her a journal with the daughter of the king scripture cover, a princess crown necklace, and a “real” lifelike crown. It was her favorite gift! Que awesome auntie status. ;)I got the matching book for boys for my son right away! “His Mighty Warrior”

Every child should be taught their priceless-ness from birth. They are worth so much more than the world gives them credit for. They are worth so much more than their peers give them credit for. They are worth so much more than even sometimes their family gives them credit for. Our worth and value comes from God, himself. This book gives a clear picture of exactly how God feels about each one of his precious daughters. Our daughters need to know this, they need to believe it, they will be their best because of it. Written in a devotional style just as the King himself wrote the letters. I've journaled since I became a Christian at 13yo. I write down every fleeting thought that runs through my brain. Now that I have walked the spiritual path and have had this relationship with Jesus for a number of decades, I can recognize which thoughts are mine, which are the enemy's accusations and which are from my Lord and friend Jesus. The way Jesus encourages me, nudges me in the right direction, gently scolds me and comforts me is very similar to the way Sheri Rose Shepherd writes what she hears the Lord say to her. I highly recommend this book for everyone, especially for 2nd graders to read, and parents to read to their littler girls, and older girls to read too. The words are powerful for any age. The pictures are great for 1st and 2nd graders.

This is an adorable book that will grow with your daughter. The letter format of the King writing to his Princess and instructing her and encouraging her, loving her is precious. I love the response of the prayer for the daughter to follow and be the princess she is designed to be. My child is a toddler and she loves the book. She thinks it is pretty special it is written for her. We read a few pages nightly.While some of it may be above her right now, it will surely grow with her in the years to come and impart important truths for her to respond to.Recommend highly!
