Over the years I have tried many different brands of dye looking to cover my greys and match my medium reddish brown hair. This is by far the most natural looking and the most effective at covering grey. My natural color is more of a coppery red/brown, and this blends perfectly- this dye shade is not a purple/magenta based red, which is what I try to avoid because that looks unnatural on me. I’ve used this for years, and I’ve received many compliments on my hair color.

Nice color overall. Good product. With a higher number developer, this product lighten my hair, as desired. The color came out slightly more warm than I wanted it, but it just took one wash with toner shampoo to cool the color down. It’s now the perfect balance between copper and ruby. Overall I like the results. A friend of a friend asked if my hair was naturally ginger color. Imagine that. It looks natural to others.

Unfortunately, this product failed to come "close" to other products. It took MUCH longer, left my root VERY yellow, smelled awful and I will not buy again. I gave it one star, as it did not leave any "overlap" and didn't seem to damage my hair (tho I DEFINITELY reccomend extra conditioner). Sorry Miss Clairol, I'm going back to other products. I wish those of you trying this, all the best!
