Super easy and knife is crazy sharp!
OK, I know there are a lot of reviews saying how amazing this is. And, let me tell you, it is! I can't speak of the fire starter and the whistle is quite loud. But the main attraction is the sharpener. Super easy to use, felt very sturdy. I was thinking my everyday pocket knife (3 inch blade, non serrated ) was getting a little dull... After a few runs through this sharpener my knife looked really sharp... How sharp? I grabbed an old t-shirt to wipe some dust off the blade... Blade easily cut through the shirt with very light pressure. For 10 dollars, I'm very happy with the results.

Tough and efficient edged knife and tool sharpener.
I have about every manual knife sharpener known to man. Many inexpensive sharpeners are good but I find the Sharpal sharpener to be extraordinarily useful for many applications. I sharpened my machete, touched up my kitchen cutlery, and made my pocket knife like a razor. Overall the Sharpal is made of tough composite plastic that seems to be indestructible. Buy it - you’ll be glad you did. I am.

Steel and ceramic sharpener
Not a fan of this type of sharpener. Bought it for two reasons. It was on sale and was rated as best sharpener on a website. And since it has multiple features decided to buy it. Having two sharpeners is a plus. It did a pretty decent job sharpening my Victorinox knives. And that is from someone one who is not adept at sharpening. I need more practice.The whistle did not work as well as expected. Maybe I was not holding my mouth right.

Very happy I got this
If you know what you're doing with a sharpening stone, that will give you a better edge. However, if you're looking for a quick sharpening, something fast that put at least a decent back on a blade, this works very very well. It's quick and easy, and the blade is sharp again. That's why I got this. My wife noticed a difference on the kitchen knives I did right away.

This item is perfect for that trip to the woods when you get there and realize you don't have matches and all of your knives need sharpening.

Simple enough to use and small enough to keep with tools or in a first aid kit.

While it does sharpen my blades quite well the whistle is useless and the fire starter won't come out
