Lovely soap with quality ingredients
This soap was a real treat in the bath this morning and is really good value at this price. It would make a nice present. The smell is very light - more clean baby than donkey. Donkey milk is actually way down the ingredients list. Not too drying - I do not normally soap my face but was happy to do so with this soap. The ingredients in order are - as listed on the photo by the seller - in plain English - coconut oil, palm oil, water, Levant cotton seed oil, sunflower oil, sodium hydroxide, donkey milk, olive oil, castor oil, scent, benzyl salicylate and hydroxycitronellal fragrance. Made in Turkey.I am intrigued that it says you can wash your hair with this too - might be good for a camping trip!

Does the job, but not scented.
This soap comes wrapped in film but it does not saybif the film is recyclable or not. Tge inner paper wrap can, I imagine, be recycled. The soap is an oatmeal colour, quite firm and it measures about 7cm square and 2cm deep. It takes a bit of work to get a lather and the label warns to keep the soap away from eyes. There are instructions about using it to wash hair but I have not tried that, just used it for hands, face and body. It does leave skin feeling clean and moisturised. Quite a lot of the contents are plant oils. The soap is supplied from Turkey.I found it perfectly OK as an everyday soap, but not particularly easy to lather. The scent is very light, almost unnoticeable. At almost £4 for such a small bar (100g), i think it is rather expensive but I don’t have any skin tone problems. If you do, it may be worth the cost as it claims to equalise uneven skin tones.

Donkey milk soap!?
I had never heard of donkey milk soap before so was keen to try it. I have very sensitive skin which dries out really quickly if I use the wrong soap/shower gel.The soap itself is very chunky, so I decided to get a knife out and cut a chunk off it to make it easier to handle in the shower. Now, not only is this a soap for the body it is also a great shampoo bar. The soap lathers up really well, and rinses off quite easily - this will of course depend on the hardness of your water. After a couple of showers I have noticed my skin is softer and more conditioned, my hair, short as it is, it also much softer and conditioned.Yes, it does cost a few quid, but it's not like a standard bar of soap. This one will last me for a good while.

Stinky Donkey
During lockdown we had soap coming out of our ears, but in recent months we have started to get through the backlog, enough to get some new soap. This 'The Soap Factory Silk Collection Handmade Donkey Milk Soap' is more of a fun novelty one off option that you can gift. The bar looks rustic as if sliced from a handmade length of soap. It comes wrapped in clear plastic and the label. Simple, but it works. This is just like the soap itself, it does the job. The donkey milk does not seem to add too much to the equation other than a nice talking point. The scent is reasonable and the lather good. Using the milk from a donkey sounds gross, but it is fine. At least it is not the same as Fight Club. The price is not too high for a handmade soap, and it would make a fun sticking filler for an older teen or adult.

The Soap Factory Handmade Donkey Milk Soap - Yes Donkey Milk Soap
A fun but useful gift idea who would have thought it…Donkey Milk Soap? It’s a novel soap that’s for sure and will be honest saying I’ve never heard of such a soap before receiving this bar. It’s not too expensive for a gift and something that bit unusual compared to your regular or Christmas themed soaps. Whatever next will they think up of for soap ranges? I dread to wonder at times… reindeer milk soap? A stocking filler with a difference, that’s this item.

Luxurious
This is a lovely soap, it lathers to a luxurious, creamy lather with very little soap and cleanses your face gently but effectively. I haven’t tried it as a bath/shower soap so can’t comment on what it’s like on hair, I love it on my face though and I’m happy to use it purely as a face soap. It has a very delicate fragrance and leaves skin soft but not oily or dry. It’s not a cheap soap but it’s worth the price for me. I’ll definitely buy it again, I’ve always been a fan of soap and water for face washing but it’s hard to find gentle soaps such as this one.I love the fact that there’s no nasties in this too, and it’s not tested on animals.

This must be a joke
Is this a joke, I wondered. Why would anyone want soap with some donkey milk in it? Is it cruel to donkeys?I don't have answers to those questions but I do have a bar of rather ordinary soap. The soap works as soap should but the shape is awkward for rolling in the hands, and the oats are an annoying and unnecessary addition.I can't see why anyone would pay over the odds for this - how bizarre!

Just Soap
I wanted to try this out of interest more than anything, I'm more of a shower gel user but would this soap be any better? first thing was it being block shaped it's not very ergonomic to roll round in my hands this is only a small point as the edges will round with use, second thing was it does not lather up very well it seems to take a lot of rolling around in the hands to get it going but once it does it just like soap which can be much cheaper to buy, I used it to wash my hair which it did and all the other bits but have to say once rinsed off I felt no different than I do when I use shower gel apart from not smelling as good because this soap does have a faint not unpleasant scent but not enough to leave any aroma on the bod.I'm being a bit negative about this Donkey Soap but that's because I don't find it much different from standard soap apart from the lather, it cleans and probably has other benefit's and maybe that will be more noticeable with use and I am going to continue to use it because it cleans ok.
