These are the shorts
I train jiujitsu 5-7 times a week, so I need the right apparel. Artibus shorts do the trick. The fit is perfect-- neither too loose nor tight-- so nobody catches toes in the fabric or gets too intimate a view of... you know. The waistband is lined with a rubber that keeps the shorts where I want them, and since any decent human being wears either athletic underwear or spats beneath their shorts, there's no concern for the rubber causing skin irritation. The black color is simple but classic, paired well with any rashguard, and the logo is attractive.I've tried several different short brands over the years, but I've now adopted Artibus as my go-to.

Exactly what I was looking for
For me, these are perfect and exactly what I was looking for. No pockets, no front opening and mid thigh. Just rolled for the first time in them this morning and I didn’t notice them which is precisely what I wanted. I suppose the one thing I don’t necessarily like is how long the draw string is. People complained about them being cheap garbage, but maybe that’s just self reflection. I like them and I’m buying another.

Best short on the market right now imo
Best shorts on the market and at a great price. No Velcro, high cut for mobility, silicone band to reduce slippage. The logo isn’t obnoxious although I think they could change one to the name or something since having two of the same logo on the front is a little much, it would also help with marketing as you can’t look up a symbol.

Cheap garbage
This is a poorly designed and made product. I will never make the mistake of buying this brand in anything again. Buy something from a reputable company. These shorts are horrible. Even have an exposed rubber band in the waist. That feels horrible when you wear them. Seriously did anyone ever actually wear these?

Look and feel cheap
They aren't terrible, and the rubbered inside could be nice if you have slim hips and wear spats or compression shorts - but compared to other board shots and brands they just feel cheap and flimsy. They almost feel like boxing shorts (classic every last/basketball style) but with holeless polyester. Not a huge fan but I could wear them. Will be returning these and going back to tatami/93 brand

Buy them now
I absolutely love these shorts! They fit as expected and have several great features e.g. elastic with draw string instead of Velcro, rubber lining on the waist band keeps them in place and your rash guard tucked in, and the crouch is made from stretchable material.I have worn these for months of training and several competitions and wholeheartedly recommend these shorts.

New favorite nogi shorts
Don't listen to the negative review about the rubber lining inside the waistband. This is the best feature! These are lightweight, relatively short, super comfortable, and wont slip at all. I am a brown belt and have been training 7 years and train 80% of the time in nogi, these are the best shorts Ive come across so far. And they are less expensive than any of my other shorts. Buy these.

Fine shorts
These are technically fine shorts. That is there's nothing wrong with them. I'd prefer that they fit more snuggly at the top as they seem a little "poofy". It's not the manufacturer's fault, but I would like to see more images on mannequins at least.
