Decent product, we'll see if it lasts
Vinyl/rubber material seemed durable and flexible. I let it sit out in the sun to get good and warm to install it. Also used rubbing alcohol to clean the surface I was adhering to to remove any wax, crud or oilly residue. After that this tape installed pretty well. Because it was warm and plyable I was able to have it install nice and flat, no curves left from how it's packaged in a roll. It looks almost factory right now, we'll see if it lasts for a while or not. I would have liked to have seen a slightly better, stronger adhesive on the back, it was alright tho.

Carbon Fiber Side Skirt Protection: A Sticky Situation?
I recently purchased and quickly returned the "Universal Carbon Fiber Pattern Side Skirts Anti-Scratch Rubber Anti-Scratch Side Skirts Edge," and I must say, I am thoroughly disappointed with its performance. This product simply does not do the job it claims to do.Upon receiving it, I decided to cut a small piece and test it on some plastic automobile parts before applying it to my vehicle. My fears were quickly realized as it failed to adhere to the plastic surface at all. Even when I tried it on metal, it didn't firmly stick as expected. One of the major issues with this product is its packaging. It comes in a roll, and every half inch or so, the adhesive properties are lost due to the way the red plastic cover that needs to be pulled out fails to adhere to the roll. This results in numerous air gaps and a significant loss of adhesion capability due to drying or dust. It's frustrating that a product meant to protect against scratches and damage can't even stick properly to the surface it's supposed to protect. Moreover, when attempting to apply it to a straight surface, it constantly tries to uncoil itself, even after applying additional tape to secure it in place. It's incredibly inconvenient and makes the installation process needlessly difficult. In my opinion, the manufacturers of this product should seriously consider using a more reliable adhesive like 3M or Gorilla Glue to ensure that it sticks firmly to the intended surface. Until they address these fundamental issues, I would not recommend the "Universal Carbon Fiber Pattern Side Skirts Anti-Scratch Rubber Anti-Scratch Side Skirts Edge" to anyone looking for effective protection for their vehicle. It's a waste of time and money.

Heat the adhesive with the hairdryer before using
I recently purchased a set of side rocker panel covers that glue onto the car, and I must say, they are a fantastic solution for hiding a rust. These covers are designed to seamlessly fit over the existing rocker panels, providing a clean and sleek look while effectively covering up any unsightly rust spots.Installation is straightforward, thanks to the strong adhesive backing. Just make sure to clean the surface thoroughly before applying the covers to ensure a secure bond. The instructions were clear, and I found the process to be quick and hassle-free.Not only do these covers improve the appearance of the car, but they also can protect from further rusting.

This stuff works
This rubber edging did the trick. Rocker panels on an aging car had some rust, it covered the rust magically. Next day, daughter dents rocker panel badly at a drive through, destroys rubber edging. Instead of paying $2k+ for new rocker panels, getting a new roll of edging. Looks almost perfect, covers rust, and now dents!

Good for more than underskirts
Worked perfectly to hide a dent on the top rail of my Tacoma, after hammering it back flat. It saved me at least a $500 repair.

I loved it, hope it last
Ok so I think it’s important for you to know this:The glue is good but if it’s cold or room temperature it’s not really going to have a strong adherence, this is what I did: I took a Heat Gun and started to peel for sections, I peeled then heated it and voilà! It stuck VERY WELL so much that it didn’t came off and when I tried it just to see it took all the paint with it, so if you want it to really stick you need to heat it before sticking it. You can use a heat gun, an hair drier etc. Finally, let’s not forget that at the end of the day it can be the strongest adhesive but it’s still going to be adhesive, so I added two screws to reinforce and that way it will be there no matter if the glue starts to fade with time.Overall I’m very happy with this, a new rocker panel is more than $200, used is more than $100 and this one looks very nice, is a thick material and the rounded edge gives it a good finish, let’s hope it holds with time since it isn’t either that cheap.
