Love this book.
A page a day is how it is set up. When you get the book make sure you download the downloads for free. They are 2 different types of grading sheets and a pdf copy of the book so you can do a page of the book over if your little one has problems with the lesson. My 5 year old finds it fun and pretty easy after he started learning capital letter, punctuation, plural nouns and verbs and spelling words. I loved this book so much that I have ordered 1st grade workbooks in all the different subjects for next year.Only problem is there is no answer key. 😕 But, I can tell if he has them right or not so far.

This book should be started the second half of Kindergarten.
I love this book! - However, before you start this book, your child should know how to read basic words, and comprehend simple five word sentences. A few reviews of this workbook are critical and suggest that this workbook is too hard for the average kindergartener. However, any good kindergarten class should have introduced, if not taught and completed many of these language skills by year-end.My child began this workbook in October of Kindergarten, and I found that I was initially teaching her the material, which I was okay with. For example, circle the verb, "The pig runs". The answers and the definitions (of parts of speech) are at the back of the book. I was surprised that my child was able to understand what a verb or noun was at 5, and very quickly answers most correctly. Within a few months, she was able to work through 90% the materials independently, a page or two at a time. By the time they began teaching it in class, my child knew most of the material well. Her Kindergarten class did not start to teach Language until close to the middle of the year. This workbook is extremely well organized and clearly a lot of thought went into the presentation of the materials. The book has 180 days worth of work, and each day has 4 questions. The questions are targeted to teach or reinforce certain language skills, and each skill is repeated 180 times; thus, by the end of the school year your child should know each skill well. For example: Question 1: Write or circle the word in the sentence that should be capitalized "do i need a rope?" Question 2: Add punctuation: "I see a car" or "Do we need to go" (a period and question mark is required). Question 3. circle the noun: "I see a car." And question 4. fill in the missing letter l _ g (with a picture of a log to help). The books gets progressively harder, but not overwhelming. In general, on a personal note about workbooks. I am okay with workbooks being a little challenging or advanced. I purchase workbooks that will initially challenge and teach my child new material, and then subsequently or later in the workbooks provides for a review and/or reinforces what she has learned. This workbook accomplishes this for your average kindergartener. I don't like easy workbooks; they are a waste of time and money.

Highly recommend!
I use these 180 Days workbooks to homeschool my daughter. She is very receptive to the way the work is laid out, and learns very well from it. We will definitely be using these workbooks in the coming years!
