Are these safe on uneven surfaces? Compact soil? Landscape groundcovers or grass? I'd like to use them on house exterior and in the garden.

I've worn mine just about everywhere including working on my house outside. The main thing is your safety awareness more than the stilts. ALWAYS be careful and aware of what's underneath your 'feet'. If the ground is too moist to support your weight, or to maintain decent traction... i'd recommend not using them. If a leg gets stuck in the mud or you slip, it can cause you to trip and fall. Short answer... are they suitable for outdoor use, yea.. I use them outside. Just be careful where you walk and be mindful of your surroundings.
